  1. thanks guys , just got back from the shop the tx was a 2012 mk3 full length , i tried a few but decided on the hw95 as it just felt the most comfortable when i shot it on their indoor range got a great deal too they gave me £85 for my stoeger and i got the hw 95 , higher mounts for my scope a tin of aa pellets a aeresol gun cleaner and pack of targets and i only had to hand over £250 so well happy

  3. hi guys , i have the chance of buying a 2 year old tx200 in 177 , i have read lots of posts tonight but they are all about the hc not the full length rifle could anyone tell me if they are hold sensitive and are they quiet enough for shooting mainly rabbits or are there other rifles i can consider for £450 max would prefer spring as never had a pcp and want to shoot with as little hassel as possible must be ambidextrous or left handed , i dont want a gun i have to send off to get tuned just want to buy and shoot thanks in advance
  4. out of the many breeds of chickens i have kept the breed i would recommend is the poland / polish they are so calm and not skittish at all and are one of the quieter chickens i have kept lay a decent sized egg and are easy to handle
  5. cheers mate , bands are on , took about 30 shots at a plastic plant pot ( managed to hit it twice ) using marbles plenty of practice needed before i shoot at anythink that breathes but thats what i wanted somthing to keep me away from the telly
  6. yes mate , the other one has the little knot bits on so i thought this one would be easier to start with and this seemed to fit my hand better , will try putting the bands on later , cant wait to have ago thanks again mate

  8. this is how far i have got so far using one of the forks longers sent me , it has had 4 coats of cedar oil so far . any advice welcome before i attempt to band it up cheers
  9. cheers mate , how long would you make each prong of the fork ? no need to apologise been busy myself , my cocker has just had a litter ( think im more of the mother hen than the missus) will keep you updated as to how i get on .

  16. hi all this is the first catapult i have ever tried to make , was feeling bored so browsed the tree in the front garden and this was what i kept , i am looking for advice as to whether to use flat bands with loops or tubes through holes and pins . thanks in advance for any advice also would anyone be able to sell me the bands/ tubes and leather pouch please

  18. thanks for the replies , i will take the advice from you guys as i know you are alot more experienced than me and couldnt put the wife through having another just to lose it because of my inexperience plus waiting will give her a chance to make sure she definately wants to keep british finches . 2nd question is a aviary and flight letting the birds mix in a group better or are they best kept seperate i have 3 triple breeder cages i had for my canaries and a 6x4 shed with 3/4 of one side open with weldmesh double netted , do i need to build a seperate flight and housing to keep the goldies

  21. thanks millet , ideally would like a young bird / birds that the wife could hopefully get hand tame , or a pair that i could hopefully hatch some from , was just hoping for somthing to occupy her as she has been with this bird solid for 4 weeks , i put him in the aviary and think he flew into the wall , so feeling rather guilty at the moment
  22. hi guys , i know this is a big ask but i am after a couple of goldfinches as my wifes one she has been hand rearing has died and she is devastated . i dont have a lot of spare cash but i am willing to exchange my 14 bengalese and 8 zebs for a couple , or would swap my as new .177 stoeger x20s wood stock for some as hate seeing the wife so upset , failing that if anyone has some for sale please let me know and i will try to sell the rifle to fund them
  23. i feed my chicks on chick crumb that has anti cocci medication and have had no problems ( touch wood ) may help for next time
