    Thanks for that bigmac , I do take it out of the case every 2 to 3 weeks and give it a rub with a cloth that has napier gun cleaner and lubricant sprayed on to it , I got it for my birthday December before last and not a mark on it

    What would you guys say is a fair price for a hw95k .177 with hawke HD 3-9x50 scope with tracer ledray torch as I never use it and it really is like new , I haven't even used a tin of pellets yet , local rfd where I bought it from have said they would sell it on my behalf but would like people's opinions as to what it's worth

    Hi gnash , he is a top judge in colour canaries and has written a few books , he is only abut 5 miles away from me , I was looking on the east anglia zone of the ccba website at birds for sale and saw he had the same dialling code as me then it twigged that he wrote the book I was reading at the time , the colours he has are truly stunning and my camera does not do these birds justice . Thanks fireman , I originally ordered a pair for last year but with one thing and another have only just got them , was worth the wait though

    Couple of pics of my new birds bought today from Geoff walker , they are 2 hens and a cock red ivory agate opals and a recessive agate cock to say I'm happy is an understatement ☺☺

    Hi all , the last few days my aviary has been visited by a sparrowhawk flying at the wire feet first , I think it's a young bird as even when I was stood there it came down close enough to hit my shoulder with its wing . Can anyone tell me if there is anything I can do to deter it . Thanks in advance

    Thanks guys vet said the same , he hasn't got ear mites but does have smaller than normal ear canals apparantly , been told to clean them with olive oil , squirt a little in with a syringe then massage in then clean with cotton wool when he starts to shake his head

    Hi all my dog has this lump on the underside of his ear , can anyone tell me what it is and should he go to the vets with it , it doesn't seem to bother him but it is getting bigger , thanks in advance

    Hopefully they will be better next time , going to try breeding cages next year , get the other shed insulated and lined , put some lighting in and see what happens , just like seeing them flying around the flight but the breeding cages might be the way to go . would love to see a pic david

    Hi gnash , she had 1 nest of 3 eggs all 3 hatched but I think only 1 chick was fed but it had to be culled as it dislocated it's leg ( I bought alpaca fleece for nesting material which twisted around the leg ) i left this nest alone , this nest i replaced with dummy eggs nest had 4 chicks but again I don't think all were fed equally 2 died before feathering up 1 was nearly fully feathered fine one day begging with the other next day gone , they had egg food , cucumber and cress as well as seed , think they just might be a bad parents , or were too young

    This is my chick that survived , now feeding and drinking by itself , still begs food off dad though , been flying around the aviary about a week now . noticed today it has 1 black leg and claw and 1 pink , is this common ?
