    Finaly got the chance to go up reeth with a mate on his permission on tuesday night so a thought a would take the pup along with me mates pup and an experianced dog. Any way when we got there the fields were water logged and realy slippy any way we decided to slip the older dog whiched picked the first rabbit up with a struggle as she was sliding all over and took a few tummbles. Next was my mates pup witch ran a rabbit to the wall and a the rabbit claped so that was caught , this pup had caught plenty before and knew what to do following the lamp spotting the quarry and so on.     Well there is a load around here and just as many in horden and further up in peterlee towards the a19 and horden cross roads is full of them also

    Spoke to my mate the other day he went out lamping local round peterlee and he walked on a feild and seen 5 diffrent lamps dotted about the feild so he fecked off home. Its getting terrible round here every one has a lamp and dogs. Hope its a faze for the people who love the sport not just a bunch of tits looking for fox and badgers to try and prove there dogs are hard

    well a have 6 1/2 month old dog stands 20tts should make 24,25tts sal/collie/beddy/grey and a take him on the lamp now and again to watch the older dogs and a run now and again and he watches the lamp realy well and now and again a let him have a run with the older dogs on a rabbit and he realy trys his hardest but no serious work till the back end of the season around 10 11 month the more they watch from a young age the more they learn JMO MAITLAND

    At six month old now my pup is just say 20 inchers and just seems like he hasnt grown in the last month and a half and he has quite small feet and he doesntt have very big nuckles. A lad a know had a sal x which was smaller than mine at the same age and that seemed not to grow then it shot up to arpund 25 tts has many people seen this happen before

    Aye but they can drop a cell thats why a asked if a lythim one can go from seaaon to season and the amount of miles a do on foot with a lead battery and it takes the enegy out of you haulin them about. What would folk on here recomend what lamp and size battery ?

    A collie whippet greyhound would be my choice. Brains off the collie quick off the mark and top end of the grey and it would be able to tackel the fox also

    Been thinking of getting a lythim battery kit with a nice big lamp for thr big fields but a dont onow qny thing about them. How many seasons can a battery do fan they be left from season to season and be fine.
