LOL, no that doesn't mean it didn't happen. This is the same as with the God thread, we say "you have no proof of God therefore why believe he exists?", they say "yeah, but you can't prove he doesn't". It's a pointless logic and nothing in our society is based on such a pointless logic. If I accused you of a serious crime, I would be expected to substantiate my claims with evidence, otherwise they are rightly considered utterly meaningless. The reason I asked for proof, is because everytime BoP control is mentioned the "huge amounts of birds are dumped" argument always comes up like it jus

Tomo, the point is, iceman is saying the hares are better, that's why everyone ditched the collie cross for saluki. Now, how long do you think the deerhounds etc were used in coursing before the saluki came along? Did the hares hear the saluki was coming and decided to get better lol. I'm not denying that hares on land which gets hunted a lot will be fitter and stronger than elsewhere but to say the hare in general is better is a f***ing joke.

What men are we talking about and what land? Tell me something iceman, how long do you think the collie/deerhound crosses have been used in coursing? Honest, how long. You think the hare just all of a sudden got better for them or do you think these guys found a better tool for the job on the land they were on.

As much as I read these posts I don't know why...they always get me pissed off.If there's one thing I hate is folk basically calling for harsher penalties on BOP kills when really it makes no difference to there lives one bit. Let's take Baw....completely on the wind up but he has a natural dislike for keepers and pheasants. So what id like to see happen is for every keeper in Britain to let all BOPs live...let them reproduce like f**k. Let them take every rabbit, hare, pigeon, duck, garden bird they can.....if it then starts to be a problem for your 'sport' and you want something done about

He'll be away in the huff now if iceman had said the hares where they are getting run a lot are harder then fair enough. I know places where rabbits are as hard as f**k to catch but I wouldn't say rabbits are harder now than they used to be

f*****g THL classic right there. You new to hunting pal? The hares have got better so we need a saluki cross instead of a collie cross LMFAO f*****g belter that. The hares aren't any harder ffs. It ain't rocket science, the saluki cross was brought in for wind. A hare will only run as fast as its getting chased so if the fields big enough, it makes sense to lose somepace for wind. You think cos you see hares running for several minutes they must be stronger than in the past that's down to the running style of the saluki.
