I decided on saturday to have a day out fly fishing ,me and my mate set off for witton castle which is based in the north east about 20 miles outside newcastle.When we got to the lake the conditions were good and we seen people landing fish and thought it was a good sign.We set up and missed a few takes in the first hour and my mate lost one at the net but then the wind picked up strong and started blowing a hooly .We then moved to a more sheltered part of the lake and i got a fish off 2 pound on a cats whisker .We fished on till 2 o clock but by then my mate had had enough of the strong win

  12. Had a trip out last night with my mate for a last night on the ducks. Headed off about 2.30 pm pushed a small bit of wood through with his black lab and got two nice brace of pheasant, then when dusk started setting in headed of to the duck pond where we started checking for fresh feather on the pond. As we started checking the dog run off in front of us and lifted 8 - 10 widgeon that were feeding on the outskirts of the pond which was a good sign.   13. Hi, Just joined the site, I'm into shooting, fishing, ferreting and just getting into dogs. Looking at lurchers and terriers after being out with Woodga I now have the bug.
