Mate work away, what your doing will be fine, you'll have a 13amp fuse in your plug top and the socket you plug the lead into in the house will be protected by a 16 or 20amp mcb so you will have no issues as long as you aren't running heavy stuff of it, if you were to put a heavy load on it the fuse in your plug will just blow. 1.5 flex is rated to carry 16 amps BTW!!! You can buy 1.5 extension leads so what your doing is fine. A double socket or 2 gang as you call it only has 3 terminals, L, N and earth, its internally wired to both outlets. Atb.

Fair play mate, if you dont think its upto scratch you can return it, the batts are a funny one and seemingly there is alot to be known about them. I think the way to go is buy the ones acebeam sell specifically for that lamp and tested to 3 hours plus running, cant be wrong then, hope your happy with it mate.
-
I dont know mate tbh, but acebeam claim 800 meters.... I lamp rabbits and fox mainly, so not too many make it beyond 800 meters and if they do they deserve to get away!!! Anyway there are fek all fields around by me that are nearly a kilometer long or wide!!!! I can say that it lights up stuff as good if not better than my lightforce at close to the lightforces limits..... Hope that helps!

Tell you what, ive spoken to the sales rep alot before i bought my two and she emailed after that to see how i am getting on with them. Let stabba get and try his one and give his opinion on them. After that if there is still a bit of interest in them i will try get a deal on say 25 or 30 of them together and see what prices i get back if ye are interested,

Just send it back roy, every internet purchase to the best of my knowledge carries a 14day cooling off period where you can return the item if it doesn't suit.
-
I dont think so mate, they arent really designed for our game but they do do it well. Im sure if a lad was handy with a hacksaw and file you'd modify a lightforce filter to sit nicely into the head as there is a rim extending out past the glass on them.
-
Just looked on fleabay roy, it says powers cameras and electronics...... Think that they are designed for minimal loads mate.... There are other lithium ion batts on there for golf buggies and motor bikes that support larger current draws, way still really light and way cheaper than the deben packs..... Dont take it for granted that the one you have wont work tho, thats only from what little i know about them!
-
Is that one of the ones off ebay you were on about earlier roy? yes mate ,can't fathom it mate ,had my lamp in bit as the wire had snapped then noticed the bulb had gone, then can't get power from this battery for some reason, theres a power on light on the side but when i attach wires it goes out....need a multi tester.only £20 worth a try i suppose Ill have a look at them on ebay again, i know some of them wont give a high output, as in it will give 12volts and has a 9.8amp capacity but it may only power small loads and not power hi-drain loads!! Them packs could be designed to power electron

Lol, typical!! Stabba if your not happy with your one i will buy it from you for whatever you pay in total for it since your only going on my opinion buying it.

About 5 days roughly i think mate, customs held them for a day untill i paid the import tax on them then they were released and delivered the day after i paid customs. Im not sure if the ones on ebay include customs payment or not, some sellers include it in the price others just sell snd ship snd let the buyer handle the duty.

I dont think you will be disappointed stabba, the beam at distance could be maybe a bit tighter if a lad was very fussy but in my opinion and two other lads i know with them (one a k40 the other a k50) they are very happy with them. The dogs running the beam of these lamps are not complaining and sweeping alot of game with em! I have nothing to gain by promoting these lamps , only reason i posted is because i bought and am using one and think they are very good. Price wise they are less than the price of a good lithium pack on its own. Good value for money in my eyes. If you spend hours and ho

The ones from ace-beam
-
Dont quote me mate cause im far from an expert on batteries but these are rated pretty highly. Why didn't you buy direct from acebeam with the batteries? Im sure there batts are the ones best suited to the lamp and the ones that they got there test times of 3.2 hours on full power. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=171552002421 The ones available from acebeam

There is a place on there website that allows you to email them mate, just drop an email and they will reply to your questions with price. Or use the email address i put up earlier. It goes straight to there sales rep who is called elaine and seems helpfull.
-
Yes, 3.2 hours full power on untill it cuts out mate.
-
I dont know i haven't flattened it fully yet mate! Acebeam quote 3.2 hours full beam. At a guess id say its not too far out. Indipendant lads reviewing and comparing it to other lamps on youtube and they recon about the 3hour mark is spot on.
-
No mate, once you hae the dial set at any or the 6 settings the switch at the back will turn it on and off to the brightness the front ring is set on, if the front ring is set at position 3 for half the full brightness and you turn it off from the switch at the back then when you turn the back switch on again it will come on at level 3 and stay comming on and off at that position unless you turn it up at the front dial. Exactly like the torque settings on the front of a cordless drill!!

Ok folks, seems to be a bit of confusion here, all the info has been already posted, the ebay ones dont come with batteries. They are asking 110 or nearest offer for just the lamp, in an alluminium case, with car charger and mains charger that works in the uk! (220 volt) and a 24month warrenty card. If you buy direct from acebeam website they are 156 dollars with proper 3400mAh batteries, I bought and am using one of these and its taken the place of my lightforce blitz as its lighter, brighter and a more crystal white light that outshines my blitz with 22amp lithium ion battery. The

so lamps approx £150 two lots of batteries would cost £ and run for over 6 hours thats plenty so that £230 thats around the price mark of the 22am lithium with out a good lamp so not looking to shabby.whats the price of a bat charger FD 150 includes 4 of the best batts you can get dave, one more set if you think its neccessary would be an additional 40, so 190 quid and i think you and the dogs would be well burned out before the lamp mate!!!
-
The charger comes with the lamp mate and it connects to the back of the lamp via a magnet, any charging problems or the batts go faulty and the magnet de-magnetises and falls off the lamp, thus disconnecting it. I got the panasonic protected 18650's so no potential danger with them.
-
Yes mate, 4 batteries in it, 18650 batteries. Shit loads on ebay but good 3400mAh panasonic protected ones are about 10 quid each. Takes all of 30 seconds to take them out and put in other ones.

I have had two nights out with it so far, the led turned red when i was comming home last night, meaning it was running low. I was out for a couple of hours both nights but had it on dim alot of the time to spot and then full beam for short bursts when the dog was running. Total time i havdn't a clue but acebeam quote 3.2 hours on full beam with 3400mAh panasonic cells. Indipendsnt reviews on youtube say the figures are pretty accurate. Good thing about them is they have no memory, meaning you can charge it after any period of use without harming the batt. So whack it on after every night out

well its not turnd up yet santer lol no worrys i was hoping it was a spare you would of parted with if i asked nice ill look in to ordering one i think. how do you find it as it dose not have the pistol grip? i sopoes if you hold it like a spear its ok with the switch on the botom You can leave the switch on the back on and just twist the control ring on and off thats located behind the head of the lamp. Its right where your thumb would be anyway holding the lamp normally so thats how i use it. Very simple and easy to use. They dont reccommend leaving the switch on the back turned on all the t
