I agree roy, to turn it on and off or use the dimmer would be awkard imho.... Its spot on in its stock form,

Or one of these and you can screw an angle grinder handle onto it, or any handle with m10 thread, or even a brush handle with a bit of threaded rod epoxied into the top of it will screw into these pipe clamps! http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=280643416281

Lol, just search drill handle in ebay mate, hundreads of them ranging from a fiver up,

Drill the torch and kiss your warrenty goodbye!!! Body of k50 is 52mm, alot of drill handles are made to clamp onto 60mm approx, they should tighten onto the body of the lamp nicely.... Cant see it being any addition tho!! Here is one of the adjustable ones if you think its neccessary! http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=331337029784

Lol head on k50 is 92mm, the slieve on the ebay one is 100mm, couple of wraps of black insulating tape on the head of the k50 and bobs your uncle!!

I wouldn't reccommend either of them gaffer! A good genuine psnasonic protected cell is £10 for one. I was strongly advised to stay away from any 18650 cell with any "fire" wrote on it. They are not good by sll accounts. Acebeam will only stand over there quoted run times by using there 3400mAH high drain protected panasonic cells. Upto you but you get what you pay for at the end of the day.... I have had an update from acebeam this morning. The best price i can get is £104 pounds, thats for lamp, 4 genuine acebeam cells, car and mains charger all in alluminium carry case delivered to

how wide would you say the beam is fd is it wider than a striker or blitz Its a hard one to say really mate, there is more spill from the k50 than either of the lightforce heads, the hot spot on the k50 is as tight as the lightforce beams alright but the dim light around the hotspot is more than lightforce imo, do you notice the spill more ? sure that could be rectafide though its the lense what makes all the spill No mate, it cant be modified unless you go de-doming the led itself, which is somthing that unless you well into led's and modding/tuning high powered led's is totally undoable.

As soon as there are 100 lads willing to give a deposit mate!! Lol, i aint forking out just on the off chance that they will sell eventually!! Im sure if word gets out and lads are happy with what they see then 100 lads wont be long comming together mate. Full setup including batts and charger for imho less than 100 quid.... How can you go wrong?
-
Lol, its the first thing that came into my head when you said about a pistol grip handle, the handle off a drill would do perfect!! is it really needed tho?? Next ye will be wanting sombody to come with the lamp to operate it for ye

Found some that should fit without too much messing about, http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=130892568214

Thats the shot lea! They are a handy bit of kit in fairness!! Glad your happy with it mate. With regard to red filters, i dont know weather they work or not on led but i cant see why it wont tint the light red.... It would be very easy to make a filter for it, in fact if you has a striker filter you would make 3 or 4 filters for the k50 out of it. I will try source some first that will do the job rather for lads that aren't interested in making one!

what thread is that mate?

Got some more info today from acebeam, $8775 best price for 100 lamp kits, $2960 best price for 400 3400mAh panasonic protected cells(best available to date) Total $11,735. In pounds sterling it works out about £7,735. Making it £77.35 for lamp, charger and batts. This price isn't much use to use yet as she is getting the best shipping price she can get for me, plus i need to find out how much customs will have to be paid on them, we'll def get stung with that amount coming in together! But on the plus side she can make the invoice out in such a way that we pay less customs d

You may very well be right mate!! But if we were to do nothing in the event of a "just in case" then we'd do f**k all!! Nothing ventured nothing gained as they say.... 5 quid isn't a big price to pay to find out if sombody you thought was alright and a sound bloke was actually a horrible c**t and they definay wont sting you for somthing bigger in the future!
-
I'd certainly chip in a fiver for a test like this - good idea. Spot on, need a few more lads that may be thinking about one to chip in and get to try it out...
-
I will email them tomorrow and find out if that would be a runner, i doubt acebeam will send one from hong kong for nowt on the possibility that we may buy 100 of them! Id imagine most companies get that type of email at least once a day!!! I will try tho!
-
If there are enough lads interested in chipping in a fiver ive no problem getting one to pass around, when its finished doing the rounds we could sell it for handy money and put the 60 or 70 quid in the kitty for a bulk order if everyone was happy with that.... At the end of they day i think arrangements like this in a group are a massive help when considering buying anything, generate a bit of interest, get a kitty going, buy a test piece and pass it round, you like you buy, if not your down a fiver but tried it and not down big bucks for somthing you dont want!! I dont know how to get th

Good stuff stabba, i was hoping it would be what you were expecting! Pound for pound far far better value than the lightforce and battery pack, not to mention the convienience of it being so small and handy, Nobody knows what your upto!! Elaine from acebeam is gone away to work out the best price she can do for 100 complete kits, i.e lamp, batts, charger the lot, all in its own carry box. If there is enough interest after we get final price and lads pay deposits i can order them. If lads fancy clubbing together and throwing a fiver or similar into a kitty then i can order one and we can do

Mate supbeam and acebeam are the same light. Acebeam is the new name for the manufacturer that was formerly supbeam, the k40 is the older model they do, that has a tight beam and more of a yellow light than the k50 but its run times are not as good. Very good lamp aswell tho IMO, a mate does a hell of a lot of lamping and thats all he carries, (k40) the k50 is a newer updated more powerful version of the k40.
-
Spot on stabba, make sure to let us know what you think later after you've used it. I am happy with mine but everyone has different preferences i suppose! Very eager to hear what you think tho, hurry up and get out with it!!

how much did you pay for it like mate 150 mate

Lads seriously??? The man said he wants to work a radio or phone charger.... The extension lead will be perfect! Once theres a 13amp fuse in the plug there is shag all going to heat to the extremes of causing a fire!! Every lighting circuit in a domestic house is wired in 1.5 t&e.
-
Just to prove my point here is a 1.5 CE certified lead!! http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=161412374169
