Unscrew the resivior. then charge it. I had this problem when i bought the gun new even with a dive bottle. Below around 60bar the resivoir will just empty. However if you take it off then charge it it cant leak out. You will only have to do this once after that dont let the pressure drop that low I usually charge mine between 90-110bar.

it is, didnt realise in was a vid. So the idea is to roll the rabbit head over your hand, and in doing so this will break the neck?

Does anyone have a good video of chinning? Ive never done it, seen it done but forgot, i normally stretch

Does any body use a priest to kill the rabbits in the net? I normally take them out and stretch the neck, im going to give the priest ago, as most of the time the head comes through one of the mesh holes and presents its self lovely for a tap on the back of the head, meaning you can do it quick, renet, then mess around untangling the rabbit from the net. Any one have any thoughts on this?

what meat did you use, looks good

How does people store the battery when they aren't in the collar? I use the mk3 collar so need to take them out when its not in use, i used to keep them in the little bit of plastic they come in, in a film case to keep them separate now they just fall out and touch together. Does it matter if they touch together? will they discharge?

yes first time ive used a hob, normally just a couple of jills, it will be usefull to have now i know its keen and will bite and grab them. Ive had it several times when my little jills have obviously met a rabbit in a stop end and cant get at it, so hopefully my big hob will go down and have more of a chance shifting it.

Went out yesterday for a first go on my new permission after previously walking on it i spotted a warren in a bank amongst a load of hazel coppices. So i went down around 1, set up the nets there was only six holes but probably spread over a 5mx5m section of the bank, so well spread out for a few holes. I put my new Hob (terry) down first, I was given him as a kit earlier in the year nasty little thing always biting, so i tamed it and its fine to handle now, also turned out to be the biggest hob Ive seen. The first hole i put him in was a small bolt hole which he did not like and baked out, s

What size pellets are people finding the best for there mk3 s200 (.177) I'm using AA field in 4.50mm but i see they have a 4.51mm and a 4.52mm. Has anyone tried the different sizes if so better or worse results on power and accuracy?

Great advice thank you. I will purchase one to fit the stud. The clip on one seemed a good idea for a fiver. Thanks everyone

The bipod isnt secure to the stock its one of these http://www.jsramsbottom.com/products/bipods--rests-bipods/gtbipodabs-guntuff-abs-bipod---fits-most-break-barrel--underlevers.html would that make such a difference even on a pcp as its very sturdy when aiming? im sure my head is in the same position i did try to move it about but it didnt help
-
.. I havent tried the bipod on the table. On the ground its very sturd. I thought it may be a different haed position but its the inconsistancy which gets me

Im shooting a aa s200 .177. I have my gun zeroed at 30 yards. I zero it whilst sat on a picnic style bench. Shooting like this is very accurate. The problem I get is when I move on to my bipod led on the ground. The shots then become very inconsistant and not accurate. Would anyone be able to shed some light on this? thanks

sounds great thanks you

good info on 5 pence pieces, no so good on a rabbits head! does anyone know?
-
Ok thats usefull to draw on it thanks, im still after the measurments so range find on the mil dots (half mildots)

Im trying to make up some life size rabbit head targets with a kill zone to aim at for practice. Does anyone have any targets like this they can share on the forum? Or would anyone know a average distance between top of ears to bottom of the head? and average size of the head? my ones in the freezer no longer have heads to measure. I'd like it to be accurate as my practise range is between 20-45yrds so i'd like to have an accurate head size so i can learn range finding using the mildots against the head size and set distances. Many thanks
-
ok thanks for that. why is it you find mil dot better?
-
Im saving for a new scope, im set on the Hawke Panorama EV 3-9x40 IR AO. But I cant decide on what reticle, either half mil dot or MAP6. It will be mounted on a AA s200 .177. the gun is used both for hunting and hft stye range i have set up. Does anyone have any advice on which would be better and why? Thanks
-
No not use it as a range finder. The problem i get is when i zero my gun i sit on a picnic bench, but when i move to shooting prone on a bipod, my shots are around 1-2" of still good grouping just not on target. I think its becuse a different head position used between shooting on the bench and the ground. Which from looking at parallax adjust on the internet shouldn't happen if its set up right.
-
Im trying to understand parallax adjustment, im shooting a AA s200 with a 3-9x40 i use 6X most. Could someone explain how I know when I have it adjusted right? I've tried fiddling around but i think im just confusing my self. Thanks
