  4. Nightvision monocular with built in IR illuminator. Everthing works as it should. The focus ring is a little loose but this does not effect its performance. I regularly used this for spottimg rabbits 50m away and with an additional illuminator 150m away. Its a great tool for night shooting http://www.scottcountry.co.uk/products-Cobra-Nemesis-Night-Vision-Monocular-Gen-1-4276.htm £95 posted

  7. thanks for the replys, Im not sure what to do with mine as I now only get it out for one shot for a deer but if that first shot is going to be off zero then its not going to be great to be taking a shot at a deer with. Perhaps I will leave it dirty for the next couple of weeks as I know its now accurate untill I shoot a deer then clean it before storing it for a couple of months and just put 3-4 shots through before I take it out again to make sure, good practise i guess anyway to check its all accurate before taking a shot on a deer. Im using Sako rounds which I believe to be good quality
  8. Hello, I have a .243 which since owning I have shot about 30 shots with, when I first got it I put 10 shots through it to zero then cleaned it thoroughly with pads and barrel spray until it was clean then another 10 before cleaning it thoroughly again. After that it was cleaned and put away until I shot a deer then it was cleaned after the 1 shot. I went out today stalking but ended up putting 6 shots through it on to paper, I noticed that the first shot was 2-3" high then the other 5 were really good grouping. I have heard that cleaning the barrel can affect accuracy, is it possible t

  13. Hello, I have a roe buck head I want to clean back to a skull. I have watched this video http://www.shootinguk.co.uk/videos/deer-trophy-preperation-part-1-36434 which is great but he removes the jaw bone on the full skull version, is there a method of leaving the jaw bone on or reataching it? Thanks

  16. That just goes to show how barrels each have their own preferences. My T3 Hunter .243 is fine with PRVI 90g SP, that is its main diet, 1" all day. I'll be more than happy to relieve you and anyone else of any 90g PRVI they can't get on with. Cheers You can have my privi's not sure what the correct way to get them to you is? I dont think Im meant to post them. for £12 a box prob not worth the hassle. do you ever come to Bath?
  17. well I picked up my rifle yesterday, got it zeroed today at 100yrds, first tried with the PRIVI rounds they were not good giving 6" groups do cleaned the gun through and started on SAKO 90grn which seemed good giving 1" groups or less. The scope with the illuminated dot is great, at 100yrds I will try longer, up to 200yrds on sunday. The rifle its self is good perhaps a little heavy on the trigger, this needs a little more concentration not to pull the shot but I was getting 1" groups on my first go so cant grumble. I have a box of PRIVI .243 90 gr if any body wants them I wont be using
  18. I was paid once, said I didn't want any money, they insisted so, we settled on £20 so me and my friend could stop at the pub and have a beer and a fry up each. we also sell the rabbits to the same pub, 1 rabbit=1 beer
  19. OK thanks for all the advice, cant wait to get it and set it up
  20. It will be used for muntjac and roe. I will try the privi ones I like cheap as long as it works. Let you know how I get on when I pick it up. what range do you zero your .243 at?
  21. depends how much I use it whether I reload or not. Something i'd like to do so may look into it soon. I will try factory ammo first though. What weight bullets would you use? 100-150yrds maybe 200. The ammo is something i haven't looked into much yet. The trigger is the only negative I have found on this rifle due to the heavy pull but I know it can be adjusted by cutting the spring down a little.
  22. I have now put a deposit down on a .243, a Savage axis with a sonic mod and a hawke eclipse 8x56 scope. Went for this one as it was in my budget of £800 and will be used to fill my freezer. Doea anyone else have this gun? Whats your thoughs on it? Pick it up as soon as the post man drops my variation back
  23. seems like ill leave it for now then, Thanks
