    Ive never seen a well adjusted dog come from a rescue centre they all need time and special attention. I would send it back and have a re think about what sort of dog you want.

    Buster in my avartar is 10 weeks old he has a bit of pit bull in him and he is the noisiest most demanding pup ive ever come across my other half says would you like to swap so we can get a good nights sleep lol

    Not much help from me as we have converted our stables into kennels using Reeves partitions. Still got a lot to sort out but what Rob 84 is saying is brilliant advise as cleaning out can be difficult if you havent got the right slope. I will watch this post with interest as i think I can learn a lot for our own kennel design.

    My bitch got stung on her paw while out walking it swelled so quickly it was scary ended up carrying her home. She needs to go on a diet she was heavy.

      I cant believe she got stung again today as we were walking up our lane, there are loads of nests and the wasps are all dozy. Its just her they seem to attack grrrr.

    If only you new Buster, If you lived close to me i would have considered letting you use one of the pups when they were old enough but alas to be sure your to far away.

    I have kept what I bred and i did not want to breed to 3 bitches i wanted to breed to 1 but hadnt decided which one to breed to. I am now bringing my pups on for next season working with a local hunt terrier man. My pups are from working parents bred to work AND will work.The bitch i bred from was owned by Terry Lethbridge. My other dogs are going out this season. Pictures to satisfy your curiosity as the season goes on.

    Its terrible and now we have all this crap about terriers attacking guide dogs in the news along with pit bulls and staffy terriers. grrrrrrrrrrrrr when are people going to realise its the idiots that own these dogs not the dogs

    I am shocked at the amount of patterdales advertised for sale that have obviously been bought by people that dont understand there needs and reselling. Its shocking and upsetting. There are so many advertised at the moment what on earth is happening. They vary in price from 50.00 up to 600.00 that i have seen its just mad. I know its been discussed loads on here just wanted to air my frustration at seeing such a disaster for patterdales.

    Nothing puts weight on like Royal Cannin mini starter, its expensive and designed for pups and mums but its so palatable and small they love it. May be worth a try.

    Its getting to the time of year to start thinking about winter. This year ive converted my stables to kennels and runs so was wondering what sort of heating if any people use. I have infra red heat that we have used for the pups if its been cold. The old stables are pretty sheltered. So yea just wondering whether people bother or not and if you do what type you use and how cost effective they are as I am doing 5 or 6 kennels. Thanks.

    I think they are horrible things but I suppose if it works for you go for it.

    its probably easier to get rid of the neighbours. We bring ours in at night as every little noise sets them off and then one starts howling and they all do it sounds like the hounds of the Baskerville!!
