  1. nice one lads, it was when i read a post the other day about some ear thing a ferret had it just made me think so thought it was worth an ask.. i don't clean mine either as i know they are clean animals and keep on top of them selfs it was more the ear thing
  2. just wondering if any of you lads clean your ferrets after they've worked and also how you go about cleaning out there ears ?????
  3. hi mate good effort on taking her in... there is a couple around here who have ferret rescue and the under nurished ones they take in they feed them thin strips of cooked chicken for a few wks then get them on bigger stuff, put a bit of raw egg in the dish every other day for a wk aswell will soon get back to weight, mine was under the weather and didnt eat for over a wk due to losing his buddy but a bit of time and effort he is back and big... good luck pal

  6. ever since i got my ferrets over a year ago i have been carrying them to my permission in a big blue cat box, just wondered what you use???

  10. i know how you feel pal i went and did a bit today and the wind was howling, nets getting blown about and the dog had one of those days were every time he took a back step he pulled the nets off but hey ho i still bolted two into the nets and the dog scoop em up like no tomorrow. when i packed up and walked back to the car it seemed ludricous walking past all the burrows but it was pointless getting the nets out in that wind
  11. thanks for the reply's guy's apretiate it shame the guy wants £30 for male and £40 for females which i thought was a little steep as one of my pals rang them the other month and ask if they could take his ferret in and he said no i have to many i can't even give them away
  12. just spoke to a bloke from ferret rescue and he said to me he doesn't have working ferrets. ny qestions are 1. how does he know weather or not they came from working stock and 2. if young enough surley they will pick it up over time surley it's instinct to hunt???
  13. frontline will do pal, i've even had them stuck in my back we used to use all different ways to remove them the most important thing is not to pull them out as you leave the head and it re grows

  16. if your ever digging down to a rabbit, let the dog take over as your breaking through so he/she see's what there working for
  17. nice one mate, one of mine escaped the hutch the other month i was gutted a dog walker said he had spotted it on a near by bit of land which i was pleased about as it's full of rabbits and moles
  18. I use a springer spaniel he marks like you won't belive, he'll also sit and cover a hole for bolters and will get stuck in and dig when I let him. Took a walk today and he caught a big fat one
