    each will hav there own job plan is to keep them to c witch is the hardest an keenist then ill cut down to 3 they will get as much work as i can give them an as long as they do wat i want ill be happy but am not easy pleased so they will need to hav flair gameness an do wat is ask wat ever ones do ill keep when you say they will each have their own job are they not bred for the same jobs? well the to bottom ones arnt going to b much of a running dog so they will b for things round a hole an the other to will b more running dog they will be getting the same work dont worry bout that but il

    how old are they ? have you got the work for 4 dogs ,has some already said a full time job ,i ,ve just say got the work for 2 dogs and that out 4/5 nights a week ,atb with them

    thanks for that i get the drift ,so the sire was 1/2 pat 1/2 laky and dam pure pat so that will make my pup 3/4 pat 1/4 laky is that right

    like i said if the dog worth breeding off it would,nt matter what breed i but her with aslong he a worker ,the question was,nt aimed at for the breeding purrposes it was more of knowledge of genectics if it could bred out of dogs,thanks for the replys lads

    just out of intrest i,ve just been getting a pup sire was lakeland x pat dam patterdale ,if i right would that make the pups 3/4 pats 1/4 lakeland ,the question is how much down the line would you be able 2 breed the lakey out dog,ovisslly out x 2 pats every time or would you allways get trow backs,i,m not thinking about breeding if iwas it would for dogs work abilitys not the breed ,just intrested ,thanks gaz

    had plenty dogs hit the cover over the years not quite sure your stats are right there mate but yes sometimes they do come back out,i always just keep lamp on and more often than not mine have caught in the cover itself,been lucky or rather my dogs have been never had a problem to date but yes have heard of the odd accident over the years,do i personaly see a dog hitting cover as a problem,no not really and fecked if id know how to stop it even if i wanted to,trick is really to know the land your hunting and what the hedgerows are holding in terms of posts and fencing for example although obvi

    So you would rather see dog hurt its self just to see you catch rate go up???Its not for me don't mind dog going in but not flat out too many dogs have died or the hunting career over by doing this but everyone till there own no quarry is worth the dogs life or injurys but if the dogs aware of its surrudings ,its heart in your mouth stuff but if your dogs pulls up 10 yds from cover then it hasn,t got the drive in my imo ,it can be dangerous but that just the way it is somtimes ,some dogs do it some don,t ,i think it would be hard 2 stop it doing it apart from takeing the lamp before the he
