  1. Cheers lads, on the hay bales is the ideal place, as its the only entrance to the grain cylos and if you miss at 14 yards then you should turn the gun on yourself!! lol all head shots yesterday They land on that diagonal steel bar every time to have a look for danger before they come inside, but im to stealth!! haha hay bales are great cover, mind you when your at the top and look down its abit scary, must be 25ft lol and cheers about the rifle comments, it looks 100% better than when i got it a week ago, im happy with my work
  2. Alright lads, Had a trip up one of my farms yesterday to test my newly purchased newly refurbished super10 out, after giving it a full refurb Got there about 11am, popped in to see the farmer to let him know i was there "nayy worries youngun" was his reply (as always) Told him id be in the barns most of the day and that i had left the shotgun at home, and was planning to make another dent in the collared dove numbers. This picture is the driveway to the farm, see all the dots in the tree on the right?? "DOVES" This is the large barn, its always good for a few ferals sitting on the girde
  3. As far as im aware you dont "need" the insurance, its just best to have it, covers you for things like, say you damaged something on a farm where you had permission or injured yourself or livestock things like that. Plus when your looking for new permissions its a good thing to be able to say that your insured for x amount of millions of pounds. hope that helps

  10. The gun got the final sanding today after a cock up with the stain (basically i hated the colour) and had to re sand 2 coats of it off, after 2 hours sanding i was back to the original, trip to the local gun shop to pick up some Birchwood Casey Tru-oil, and i was ready to massage the first coat on. Thats the stock all sanded and ready And thats the stock after the first coat. Enjoying this project already P.S does anybody know how i can get the pictures larger?? cant really see much when they are this size? thanks
  11. I always had .22 when i was younger, then when i got the logun solo when they first came out i gave the .177 ago, never looked back since, except for now ive just got a bsa super10 and guess what......................its .22 lol like has been said, .177 better accuracy but more penetration than thhwack, but a good shooter will be able to dispatch their quarry with either, aslong as your upto the job, then id say it all comes down to preference, enjoy
  12. Cheers lads just been to the local gun shop and he sold me what i need, gun is now back down to its original wood, looking loads better, i also bought some birchwood casey true oil, hopefully it will give me a better result. Thanks again
  13. Right guys, i recently bought a 2nd hand bsa super10, the stock was a bit worn so i decided to re stain it, stupidly i diddnt test the stain first, sanded the gun, then added the first coat of stain, i hate the colour, but decided to give it a chance and gave it a second coat to see if the colour darkened, it diddnt!! thought id put the clear varnish on to see if that made any difference, it diddnt!! What do i do to get the stock back to plain wood?? can i use turps to take the varnish off?? and then if i sand will i get the stain off?? HELP PLEASE!!
  14. Super 10 for me, very accurate and powerful, looks wise they are beasty and chunky.
  15.
