It seems ok on the gun, but when off the gun the bottle empties, very slowly and doesnt stop. My concern of leaving it the rifle is that it will just keep pushing air into the gun until something pops??? or would it stop once the reservoir was full enough to give me a full power shot, imagine putting a balloon over the top of a leaking bottle, it would just keep inflating the balloon, im scared the same thing happens inside the rifle,

Is the O ring the white plastic ring on the bottle neck?? Might sound obvious but ive never had a buddy bottle pcp before, it doesnt leak when the bottle is back on the rifle, at least i cant here it, it shouldnt be near empty, i got it charged to 200 bar and have only put about 80/100 shots through it, its a .22 carbine mk2, when i put the bottle back on the rifle and fire it, it still sounds full power, but as soon as i take the bottle back off it leaks fast, then after 20/30 seconds its slows to a bearly hearable hiss.

Just taken the buddy bottle off my s10, done exactly the same as i normally do (give it one full turn, then dry fire untill i hear the power drop, if it doesnt i give it another quarter turn and dry fire again) This time i did the same as usual, but the bottle started leaking air when nearly fully loosened, the bottle is now off the gun and is very very slowing leaking air, whats gone wrong lads??

Cheers, mine has a flat head on it, with rings on the end, not the rounded type. As shown in this photo So would the dates on my bottle suggest it needs testing?? Had it in the gun shop on wednesday and he charged it for me, no worries. The date on your bottle may be the life limit. Which means.............?? lol i need a new one.........? Who i,am i to say. I think ill leave it as it is, and if bob (owner of the local gunshop) still wants to fill it for me then i wont argue If he says it needs testing, then itll get tested cheers lads

Hi mate.have a look at the date again.Think it should read 1997/09/2002 As a new bottle need,s tested after five year. Just had another look and it definatley says 1987 09/2002 is this a problem mate?
-
Diddnt think of that, how gutted would you be if it was over and they took it off you lol cheers darryl, been a big help mate
-
Cheers, i dont have a chrnono do gun shops normally have one you can use, noticed in the shop i use they have a range with targets, hmmmm ill have to ask, when you say the reg is set at 90bar does this mean my power will drop when the bottle reaches 90bar?? only ever had 1 pcp before and i dont take the performance side to seriously, as long as the rifle is doing what i want it to then i dont tinker lol

Theyre the FAC figures I think mate Darryl BSA Superten. NUMBER OF SHOTS (Approx) Rifle Carbine Pressure .177 12 ft lbs 160 shots 100 shots 232 bar .22 12 ft lbs 230 shots 150 shots 232 bar .177 FAC 45 shots not available 232 bar .22 FAC 45 shots 45 shots 232 bar so roughly 150 shots for the .22 carbine, is that gunna be 150 shots before i notice a drop in power and p.o.i

Good question, anybody know?
-
Thats the rifle, i was told by the lad i bought it off, thats its a Mk2 in a mk1 stock, Never had a super10 before, it is a carbine, right??
-
TP348 is the Test pressure BS 5045 pt6 and the date is the British standard number it has been tested to for legislation CP232 is the Constant pressure the cylinder can handle AIR 669- AA861259 I'm guessing is the BSA part number if it's a standard rifle then you should easily see approx 190-200 shots from a 232 bar fill  Darryl Its a carbine darryl, does this make any difference?? Rough guess id say i put eight, ten shot mags through it up the farm, should be good for another trip before recharge?? dont want to get all the way up to the permission, to have it r
-
Cheers mate, so what cc does that make the bottle?? and how many shots can i expect from a 200bar charge, its .22 just got the gun and have only used it once, i havent got a pump for it yet (treating myself for xmas )so i take it to the local gun shop, which charges £2 to fill it, dnt want to keep taking it back if it still has a trip or 2 worth of air left in it. cheers
-
Can anybody explain what the numbers on my buddy bottle mean please TP 348 BAR BS 5045 pt.6 1987 09/2002 CP 232 BAR AIR 669- AA861259 Cheers in advance
