    Bst if you know a Vet you can trust real well a good honest country type Vet and if he is keen on genuine hunting all the better,The problem is if you have not ben to a Vet with an injured Terrier or any other breed (That lets say got into an accidental "Kennel fight!" or ran into a wild animal in an unknown earth and got bitten by a wild animal while you were out exersizing Berty in the Woods etc:) if you had a visit from the Police acompanied by the Tree hugger bragade (that have NO RIGHTS unlike the police)But if the police take the tree huggers as experts for advice "As they often do!"     I well understand all to well HA HA!??? and like all Sportmen should Believe the quality Ability of a below ground working Terrier is the most important fact, But I also know that the guy's you now slag off above have paid many thousand's just in export airfare carrage vet bills etc: to import Terriers (I know they came over to see for themselfs working )as all terrier should be well worked before they are bred from,Terriers that you now have offspring from what you got for free.     I don't usually comment much these days, but that statement speaks volumes. Genuine lads don't need to take money for their dogs. And no genuine lad would ever say they "had the best". One thing i have seen in my short time on this planet is that when money gets involved in the working dog scene it just about ruins it!     hello there are many badger in my countury ,maybe i caught about 60 badger , 13kg ,15kg, 19kg, 25kg , i heard my friend talk me that he catch 30kg badger , but i have not seen 25kg over yet . badger is small in the spring ,but they are grow twice in order to sleep in the winter . This post is brilliant it always interesting to see how different people live in other parts of the world and all the things they are allowed to do and we are not.     Yes I beleive They are pure Booth line but bred by my Fathers good friend Mr Todd Fulford of Deadgame Patterdales.(in Sport Jonathan Booth) Below our friends Dogo here in France on a wild boar he also only uses my Fathers Terriers to hunt them up and the Dogos to hold them

    Daniel May have a point as most of my dads dogs will not hunt Rabbit and are not used for what we personaly concider Spaniel or bushing work as we Tend to dig 90% Badger's (leagaly) here in France most weekends and the remainder Fox (all just Earth work only The true purpose of a terrier )The Word Terrier comes from Terrain (ie: in the Earth) We personaly do not bush hunt up cover for Rabits and possible lesser game etc: (each to their own) Our Terrier are only for earth often deep digging work My father likes always a hard terrier (which does not suit eveyone!) always single handed that will
