  1. how much would a set up bee,,sorry about that,,all in all how much dose it cost for one hive? anyone help please? It all depends on what hive you want if you want a new one or second hand and also where you get your bees from I would suggest for a beginer you geta new hive as there is less chance of a wax moth infestation of any othe problems such as deasises, for the bees I would buy a nuc (Neucleus) which usually has about 5 or 6 frames of bees. A cheap hive from thornes is quite cheap the also do a whole beginers set up for about £160 which includes your bee suite and other things.
  2. Don't mean to add to the bad news but IMHO you won't ever get that dog to come back while its in hunting mode, its got a lot of prey drve EXACTLY how a terrier should be and all the hunting in the world won't make it listen you any more. Sorry but thats the world of terriers I know I have one exactly the same but he's a worker and kenneled. If you want to be able to let him off the lead try and find a secure field or park. As said above if your going to give him the work he needs you'll need a locator a spade and some permission. Just out of interest where did he come from?
  3. I didnt realise there was soo many bee keepers on here. I've been keeping them for a few years now and also help on a bee farm, keeps me busy out side the shooting season and earns a nice bit of pocket money.
  4. Wouldn't give them the 25 let alone the other 500
  5. That looks a very tidy land rover mate looks just right on the moor
  6. are they the flat black ones that clip together and the collar goes through them like the mk3s Aye mate just realised what your getting at the collar i have here must be an early mk3 not a mk2. yes its a clip together on the locator and collars i brought was a mk3m didn't realise there was a mk3 and a mk3m I'm assuming the M stands for magnetic then. sorry chap my bad.
  7. I have a mk2 collar here thats work fine with my mk3m locator.
  8. Kawasaki Mule or my 07 plate defender tdci and yes it dose go across the fields not just gateways and its as dirty inside as it is outside but the mule is far better you can squeeze down footpaths if you need to.
  9. Yes mate the transmitters work exactly the same. There nicer collars compared to the magnetic ones as they are better profiled to the ferrets neck.
  10. last price drop £180 no offers or timewaisters Why arn't these selling. Would have had one but a bit too far for me. ATB Ashley
  11. I use a chap called Chris Elliot he's an accreditid member of the guild of taxidermists. Chris has done some fantastic work for me last year he did a full mount fox for £450 and i kid you not the thing looks real. Currently he's doing some finches for my son. He's near kettering ( northhamptonshire ) I know it's a drive but trying to find somone close is reaaly hard especily if you want a top job. When my mate got his perigrin done he had to drive to wick in scotland to collect it 650 miles each way. If you want chris's contact details just send me a pm or look him up on google. ATB Ashley
  12. I'll 2nd that It's only at times like this that the rspca are of any use and as much as I hate authorties like them they do have thier uses. At least the dog you took will have a good life, couldn't you have got one under each arm.
  13. Last week i had quite a few rabbits which i gave away to an animal charity, its handy when you can get rid of them this way ,because at least there going some where, this week a chef,at a posh resturant has rang and asked for thirty doe rabbits, dressed, three quid each. No offence, but dressed, how does he propose to tell the difference between a doe and a buck? He'll prob just get 30 rabbits then I can't give them away. Going to start mincing them for dog fodder i think
  14. did you not see the pic taken in the dark of the black lurcher

  16. Looks like it's on a steep bank to me That dog looks a cracker mate
  17. You want to get yourself a 50 or 75 yard net and try making up a quickset there are plenty of posts on here to help you make one up. There nice and easy to handle and not too long for a first net. For a first net I'd just buy a cheap one just incase you find long netting isn't for you. ATB Ashley
  18. At least she'll get sorted mate. Shame this post got ruined by a load of idiots who obviously take there dogs out in bubble wrap by the sounds of things. FFS a dog can trip on the slightest of things when they are going full tilt. Gald to hear the vets finally got the time to have a look. What teeth has she got to have out?
  19. I've got my quickset made with hazel, never failed yet plus I like the more traditional look very easy to get replacements especially when your out, can normally find a hazel tree in a hedge or woods near by.
