I don't think everyone wants the perfect night but if its too hard then its too hard and the moonlight and no wind just adds up to a poor night and if you cut the dogs feet up you can be sure while you can't run it the weather will turn into better conditions

Tell me about it. But partly my fault, the rotty I got just isn't hard enough. Next one will be though. Thats the second time shes been let out it also happened last thursday night.

Far too hard you'll smash the poor buggars feet right up. too still and too light out

There is an exemption for working dogs but only when they are working. I just had a fine of £60 today for my rotty being loose after some theiving C**Ts let her out to get at my working dogs. I tried to argue that she was a working dogs as she is loose in the garden to protect my kenneled dogs but the gits opened the gates and she ran out and someone found her in the village and called the local dog warden, you just can't argue with these types of people. If your walking your lurcher where you have permission and its on a fixed lead and no name tag your breaking the law but if its on a slip

This is by far the best cure I had to do this, this year to keep my dogs safe i put an advert on a free ads site for a guard dog and got one within 2 weeks and I've had no trouble since. Err Guys Maybe I spoke too soon. Last night Some C**T opened my front gates and let out my rotty then while i was out looking for her the C**ts tried to get into my kennels but thankfully due to some skillfull lock fitting they didn't manage to get in. I didn't see it untill this morning. I felt Fcuking sick I got 6 dogs round there and they could have had the lot. And on top of this I've got to go a

MATE YOUR A F*****G MUPPET PEOPLE DON'T MAKE THESE STORYS UP. HUNTERDAVE IS A MATE OF MINE AND I WAS ONLY 10 MINS DOWN THE ROAD WITH HIM WHEN THYE WENT INTO HIS GARDEN. AND WHY THE F**K WOULD HE TELL A P***K LIKE YOU WHAT PROTECTION HE'S PUT ON HIS KENNELS. AND WHAT THE F**K ARE THE OLD BILL GOING TO DO THERE NOT INTERESTED UNLESS THEY HAVE ACTUALLY TAKEN SOMTHING AND EVEN THEN YOU'LL ONLY GET A CRIME NUMBER. SO UNLESS YOU'VE GO SOMTHING DECENT TO POST THEN DON'T POST AT ALL. WHEN SOMEONE TRIES TO STEAL YOUR DOGS PERHAPS YOU'LL UNDERSTAND W**K*R

i dont think hes asking about the workability of the strain,i think hes more interested in the size of the strain You'll all be wanting 5 generation pedigrees with your ferrets soon.
-
William black strain ferrets? What you really want is an ASHLEYBEE strain of ferret they are the nuts they even kill the rabbit and retrive them straight back to hand. What a load of bull sh1te. A ferret is a ferret mate but may be better from working parents i suppose

ashleybee replied to foxfan's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
just reading this thread and as true as night is black. If it ain't black it ain't a pat. I'm not into kc registered dogs but why cross breed to breed when those that should be breed from will know someone with a good dog to breed with, of the same breed of course. -
I've been out today with ferrets and harris hawks. I fly 1 of my mates male harrises we've had a good day out and your right its not about numbers it just great to be out there having a great crack at the bunnys. you havent seen anythig untill you've seen a hawk take a bolted rabbit far more fun than setting nets.

ashleybee replied to Ferret Andy's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
to get her used to the ferrets asuming they are pretty well behaved try holding the dog and letting the ferrets around her feet maybe in a garage or shed but for christ sake don't let them bite her otherwise you'll never get them used to each other bare in mind that if your going to take her ferreting the ferrets need to be used to the dog as well. by the way ant coe is my brother and we both work on the same farm. atb Ash -

aye thats right however i wouldn't not feed it at all but cut its feed ration in half untill iit starts paying you a bit of attention then start giving it the other half as treats when its doing what you tell it to. you wont be doing it any harm just catching it attention.
