there more to a dog than front to back , or it would be easy , and if its as erasy as you say front from back well ille be chapping your door ,for a ne wpup lol , never heard brookie say to much about bad outhing but he sticks by his guns i think , as i says dont no him personaly so cant say to much as for mark here more stories than a sun newspaper but i donr believe all i hear to old and wise to listing , as i sdays the best way to sort DOGS OUT HAVE A WALk OUT WITH A FELLOW AND HAVE A RUN AT YOUR CHOSEN QAURRY mate to much bikerin on these sites and when it comes to d day they head for the -
cant beat concrete block kennel four high or 5 ,with either timber framing or angle iron framin, tac welded with galvanised mesh, roofed over, last you a lifetime and dog boxes in side, l concrete runs 3 inch to one grade into a good drain or soak away , painted once a year with concrete paint last you along time, woodens fine but not the best i would say , like sectional kennels so you can keep them paired up winter ,if your good at sourcing mateiral easy job , last you a lifetime .

millet old tyne looks the double of your dog, hees blond hes still working at 10 past got several pups of him nephew has one spud simliar to your one he is 3 ,my bitch through black and tan she is seven bred some [bANNED TEXT] dogs of her ,bred of the [bANNED TEXT] working coursing animals very good dogs and mines havent got a bad toe or foot real strong footed , the collie grew to good coursing dog is a very good way to get an alround lurcher but you need to have at least one with real pace to keep pacy pups for allround work , -
one died at three other gave away at six to a good home , both were alrite on rabbs but not much cope on anything else back then , she was a very good rabbit dog fox odd hare , but most dogs can catch a rabbit etc, its all the other quirks that i like in my own collie type natural fetchers, jumper , pacey good wind not to hyper , good strikers home bred are far streaks ahead than my hancock was and easier to lve with not chewers etc the beardie type was hardy and a good dog but time moves on and so does the dogs etc as they say , for the better , for me , mines was adecent animal but saw lot

i like a qaurter roughly in my dogs or third as im out alot more and do alot more ,near greyhound or whippet is fine but they dont take the knocks the same or feet on arable dry land as i says beforew ithout the good coursing fen dogs wouldnt have the saluks up here , if you breed of good dogs and speed them up with dfaster types it works i liie pace but only if it has good feet wind and runnig brain mate as speed doenst always catch game when going rough and wet -
p s had a hancock but no way would i have another so talking from expierence
-
if you no the right people there home bred dogs more suitable than puppy farmers dogs, i wouldnt own a hanckock for free ,but some people are easy pleased ,alot are slow at picking up as they have not got hunting blood ingrained in them from generaitions of working dogs at times , paitience is avirtue in buying a dog no rush until the rightone comes along , its like going to tescos to by hanncoker , easy to get but well mas produced , never a good sign in a genuine working animal ,the best dogs ive saw were bred by serous hunting individuals ,hope this helps luckless people to go the right way

mate without the good saluki crosses all the diolons would still run bedie crosses colie crosses deerhound crosses thinking they were hare dogs the saluk has made ahigher percentage of hare catchers than any other type of lurcher wether fast slow etc without them you would have just the run of the mill lurcher and the odd good hare killer , end of mate saw several lurchers as kids on good hare land biggish feilds were i got brought up but only saw 2 or 3 that could stop hares rest chased them flat out and got blown away mate a good chase localy canmbe three feilds or 2 on a strong winter buck -
bron looke nice but like millets dog she looks racier they look like to have alot of collie in them mate are they more just for rabbits and abit fereting , my good freind p douglas had maggie a full colie to katie colie grew bred by d slieght she was a good dog on the hills and rougher grass land but lacked pace on the wheat but a nice little bitch and very biddable he won 2 rabbit hunting trail awards with her ,this is a whle back 17 years ago , your dogs are very simliar never fancied a reverse three qaurter ,but some like them bron looks more like a strong halfcross

having had several saluk crosses over twenty years any way , what some say are plodders is only through vidoes you tube on big land were the dog knows whats happening maybe if some of the big land dogs ran smaller land alot they would soon learn that they cant hang about , saw dogs and had dogs runing in scotland , who no went to go up a gear to get qaurry away from hedge , cover , and some that are real fast but not as clever on a strong hare ,saw fast clever dogs bred clever pups as young as 9 months cutting a hare from cover pre ban ,the faster and more whippety ive found more feet injurie -

if speed wasnt a critea then we wouldnt brerd to the faboulus big grews whippet greyhounds to salukxtype to put pace in once in a while, after 30 years huntin here usa england etc , a good hare dog runs the situaition its bred into them saw it time after time , you need pace to get there then control the race or kill it if its a silly hare ,land befits the chase at times biggest race i had as we stop watched it and a kill at the end of it up in scotland 2 40 my mate d salmon was there from u s a he stop watches his runs, , over the border had 3 min plus on turf and down fens saw 5 min kills , -
had 3 or 4 perfect lurchers clean killers and good allround dogs ,lana a collie cross could do it all were ever, rex, sid, sniper x jade pup sol ,you no when you have good jukels other guys ask for pups or they say thats a dog in a half , was down durham hunting each time i brought a pup down they said you going sell him or give me her thats the mark of a good dog same with when you take dogs out in company and they say i want one of them , that says it all realy
