  3. indeed i'm thinking of building a court , i have a nice garden so that wil be no problem , but the hutch is more a breeding hutch ,
  4. hi lads , was thinking about a new and bigger ferret hutch what would most of you prefer , wood or steel , ofcourse both with wooden nestbox wood is light and easy to work with steel is heavy , but solid and would last for years and years to come , and steel does not absorb any smel and urine and so on , personaly i can do both , so that is not the issue .

  7. Kenny, that is the easy part of long netting at night. The hard part is before you set the net. TC i gues i will have to learn just by doing it tc , got nobody here to show or teach me .

  12. I thought I'd share an idea on a netmaking box easy , simple and everything at hand the box was just an old tool box i had in the basement .

  14. somebody here told me just knit like you knit a pursenet , and just keep on going , that is how you make a longnet wel i did , and it is becoming an addiction . now just find out how to put on the salvage and the running lines , i heard you have to splice te rope . perhaps somebody has some tips or good advice ? gr kenny
  15. i wonder i anybody ever made / used a 2" mesh longnet ? and what youre findings ar depending that net , was it a good catcher , did the rabbits tangled good or dit most of them bounce of ?
  16. maby a stupid question , but , why put the first end pin on as i turn it over ? can't i just knit the salvage on and running line through on both sides and then put the end pins on ?
  17. oke , many thanks for the reply 's ! i started the net and now a mate of mine said you have to do it double , thats why i asked . i m' at 20 yards now , 2 inch mesh board and 16 wide so in total with the top and bottom selvage it il be 18 wide and 50 yards with 100 procent bag . you guys have some good advice for me on what twine i should use for the selvage ? and if still have to find out how i have to hang the net to put the selvage on . i just let it drop in a bag now many thanks
  18. hi al , i orderd some 20/ 12 spun poly bij engel and i want to make my first longnet i would like to make a 50 yard net with 100 procent bagging , so 100 yards stretched net now i wonder , could i just knit it single or is it best to do it double strand ?
  19. i know mate , and i dont want to break records , main thing is Quality but how fast is fast ? is an hour for this kind of purse net fast ? or is it slow ?

  23. yeah practice makes perfect ! i am just getting into slingshot hunting for a month now but my aiming gets better everyday mate i used to practice at home at 10 and 15 yards but now i practice outside when im out walking , and i try to hit things at diferent distance's , i must say that that seems to work better for me
  24. the result from this morning im stil trying to find out what band setup i like most ( stil in doubt about these two ) - tbg double tapered 30/20mm - tbg double straght 25 mm i prefer hex nuts m10 for ammo . these are taken with tbg double 25 mm straight and hex nut m10
  25. good looking catty that !!! i left it the way it is , shoots good with the long forks , but the next one is gonna be a shorter fork thanks for the great reactions !
