    ive been out with quite a few of your well known coursing men .so to speak,there hasn;t been to many that stand there and count to ten while the hare is making its get away. yes ive seen some massive slips.but 9 times out of 10 the doesn't hare put its ears back and go until the dogs is 50 maybe 30 yards of the hare.sometimes closer.then you here that shout THATS WHAT YOU CALL A SLIP .if you get one out of its seat its ears are back straight away and its away..then you get the tail flickers and back leg kickers who skip away showing that they are fit. my favorite.lol. iam not saying you don

    the dog could be hurting somewhere. if like said above you have wormed.and increased food and the dog is still losing weight.then in could be injured. injuries are not always visable.has its coat lost any condition.is the dog dehidrated.grab its coat just below the neck area or along its back.take a handful of fur lift and twist.see if it goes back quickly or slowly..if it goes back slowly.then its dehidrated.you cant beat a good boneman to look over your dog.much better then any vet.

    Don't follow this jokers advice. Have seen this done, and it's not the way to go. Keep massaging the crop with the bird upside down, and spoon feed a tea spoon of olive oil (Gently) down the birds throat. Joker . you silly ferret . go a pay the vets or risk looseing your bird . ive kept old english game since i was a sprog.your causeing more stress massaging the crop .and f*****g about with it .like i say it takes 5 mins neat cut .empty crop .

    me personally i would get it some easy rabbits... ferreted .ect let it learn its job daytime first... jumping going into cover ect ...theres plenty of time.heavy saturated saluki x.s tend to be slow to come on ..i.e imature ...not all but with alot this seems to be the case ....with a young dog you cant beat giving it plenty of confidence ...to many young dogs are ruined early ....and at ten months i would suspect hes got quite a bit of filling out to do.and maybe a bit of growing to....good luck with him .. a couple of pictures would be good ....some people will disagree with what iam saying
