if you are using them for pest control then they want to be put in after the jils because they will just kill them down the hole but for sport or money then maybe a bit to big i have the same problem but he is abit smaller then urs -

after doing the hole fill them in and then maybe a week later go back and if they have been dug out then do it again if not leave it for abit longer
