  1. I think you're on about James Mckelvie...he had a cracking collie cross called Hemp if my memory serves me right...
  2. Bryn is a fantastic example of a first x collie, I totally agree with you, I'm sure he'd throw some super pups. The same has been said of Gyp, why no one's used him beggars belief!!! Bird and Langley are both very honest lads and I'm sure would go out of their way to help. ATB postie
  3. Charlie boy and jack88...top marks lads your right...a lot of of folk have seen Gyp run over the years and all seem to have been impressed with the little fella.
  4. My mate's got a beddie x grey...only 22 inch but certainly punches above his weight. This dog is now about 8 years old and has certainly put a lot of game away in his career. He's in Cheshire also so I'm sure you could see the old fella run mate. If you're interested p.m me... ATB postie
  5. Well done you guys... Buck's turning into a real handy beast for you mate... Don't worry too much about your hospital visit...you might even enjoy it

  8. A friend of my has lost his little bitch in Durham 2 days ago. His girlfriend let her out of the garden after she finished work. There was a quick thunder storm and the bitch got frightened, jumped the gate and hasn't been seen since. She's 7 years old and is about 20 inches. If anybody has seen her or know's of her whereabouts could you contact Danny on 07825 870726 Thanks Postie
  9. Fantastic write up mate...your love and enthusiasm for your dogs and the sport come shining through
  10. Nice looking bitch 21dangermouse....I had a chat with Jim when he bred his litter. He came across as a very genuine fella. I think both the parents were bred by Sleighty, they seem to throw to the collie... The one I had off Dave is supposed to only have a 1/16 collie in him but he's definitely thrown to the collie side. 12. Hey up mate, you're going to have to learn English..... Can't understand a fecking word you're saying
  13. Hi Wingnut, I managed to sharpen the poles this afternoon. I ended up using a sander in the end of my drill, very quick and easy... just make sure you use a mask mate.. dusty as feck All the best Postie
  14. Hi Wingnut, read the thread at the top of the page. It's very easy and it works . Good luck Postie
  15. Hi Dave, I've just cut some poles down today mate. I've cut them at 90 cm which is the same as the shop bought ones.
  16. How did you get on with pointing the ends, i am going to attempt it with an angle grinder with flag pole in vice to stop the fibre glass splitting hopefully, but be interested to hear what everyone else doing or done. Just going to have to find some grommets, or possibly use some cut up bicycle tube as some say on here can be used, or wait for the bloke i use for machinery spares see if got any big thick o rings. I'm pretty sure you can buy the grommets from any of the net making suppliers, mate. I was going to try and get hold of an angle grinder, it'd be interesting to hear how th
  17. Did you find them as good as the shop bought ones Chalkwarren? If they are I'm sure all the golf clubs up and down the country might start missing a few
  18. Just been around my mates and he said he'd got some golf flag poles and wanted to know if I thought they'd be any good. Well my initial reaction was I doubt it but when he got one out I was pleasantly surprised . It was exactly the same thickness as the bought fiber glass poles and the grommets fitted perfectly. Anyhow he's got me a dozen poles off the green keeper, coming on Friday. I had a brand new 150 yarder given me and a new basket so I know what I'll be doing on the next sunny afternoon. Has anybody used them before? cheers Postie
  19. Cheers for the invite mate, Paul was very happy with his dogs performance, and so he should be. I think it was Phil Lloyd who said "location, location, location", and he's dead right. By the way mate, your bitch impressed me, very determined but also steady. Speak to you soon.
  20. Does anybody have any pictures, I remember seeing a couple in Ted Walsh's Lurchers and Longdogs book. I reckon it could be an excellent starting point for a line of lurchers. I've seen a few extremely lean, fit and agile bitches that were crying for a greyhound to be put over them, both were Drakeshead breeding by the way. A mate of mine also had 2 Drakeshead males and I'll tell you what, the guarding instinct was unbelievable towards the motor. Don't know if this is usually the case though.
  21. Love the last picture, thought the dog was looking at you with adoration, until I noticed the buttie in your hand .

  23. This is my dog out of Eadie, he was only 8 months at the time The sire was my mates beddie/ greyhound
