I'm just looking through his past posts and he was looking for a lurcher not long ago, so god knows how he lamped it, unless either hes bloody quick on his legs or has shot it and posted in wrong forum. Which im sure he has seen as its illegal to kill a hare with a dog..... and then put it on here..
Just looked through your history and saw some pics of him still, what a hansom dog you have there. Love his colour and eyes. Hows he been to train? (so far)
I went there on a farming course a couple of years ago. Had the time of my life, but all my friends who are still there doing degrees and follow on courses say it's gone majorly downhill and full of nobby chavs....
Let me know if you want to know anymore about the college, but i'm afraid I can't tell you anything about the gamekeeping course.
Thats what I heard about them, sticking to it but never getting smashed so never in the vets and always working. Keep us all updated on your pups progress!
Thanks for the replies everyone, know the local butcher well so that will be ok. And if the bank accounts looking ok, might get some off those website. Thank you all for your help.
An old dog man was telling me today that the best digging terrier he ever had was a borderxlakie.
I was just wondering what people though of this cross and if anyone had an pictures?
Thanks
I dont doubt the advantages of raw food in a dog and when I get my lurcher in a couple of weeks I would like to feed in some raw, maybe even a large amount of raw to dry food.
The question I have is where do you get it from? Internet? Butchers? Any help welcome. Thanks
Just been out for a walk with the dogs across the farm, two randoms on the footpath. Said hi, no reply, so stood there they took a 10yard de-tour around me. Said see you then all nice and cheery, no reply. Manors cos nowt!!
When out lamping I have seen the following about. Always seem to be a few hundred yards behind. But I guess they are always ahead in there heads. Animal instinct, if you can see what your enemies up too, then they can't surprise and attack you. Same idea as wilderbeast letting lions around them but never close enough. So they always know where the lion is. More likely a cub though as a fully grown wouldn't risk it.
He's a nice looking pup mate, my dogs play with the ferrets like that too, ferrets arnt feared of anything they just jump and attack the dog. And if it gets too much they run in their drain pipe and are back attacking the dog in about 15seconds. Good fun to watch. Good luck with him...
