The really unfortunate thing is you do live in the real world, this is it as good as it gets. There are two things I simply will not tolerate, in fighting and worrying stock of any kind and I be as hard as I need to be so's as to leave no doubt in the dogs head as to my thoughts on the matter. I would not have ended the without the dog having learnt the errors of its ways. Good ferrets are far too valuable to lost to your own dogs. Our Bedlington Terrier killed a couple of our neighbors hens when they came around to our side of the field, the matter dealt was with the that day she

Using track dogs that are getting more and more fragile with every generation has been the downfall of the working lurchers/longdogs in the UK IMO. The inherent weakness has that comes with breeding from such dogs has been accepted by most as part and parcel of running dogs. As a result the country is full of dogs that can't work if the grounds too wet, too dry, too stoney, too frozen, too deep etc etc. From what I saw in Kazakhstan not only would uk running dog benefit from the importing of more durable dogs from countries were dogs aren't rapped up in cottonwool but also a reality check as

I would'nt know my friend, I just sit down at my computer on my fat ass and have an opinion on everything I've never done myself. There are Saluki's that did relish them, not that I know of course.... First off, we aint friends.........Secondly, looky here dick beater, its hard enough to get dogs bred to catch and kill to do it consistently let alone dogs bred primarily for hare and some tiny ass gazelle thing. I seen videos of them dog gone saluki where they run them gazelle for like 5 minutes friggin straight. That shit is unbelievable. I am in awe at their speed and endurance.

Would the do a rottie or akita? Well it's funny you should mention an Akita because, my first Saluki had incident with a local drug dealers Akita which was roaming the streets and he throated it before the Akita knew what had hit it, this was one of the first instances whereby I quickly came to learn that while most dogs merely go through the motions when clashing with other dogs, this Saluki was deadly serious and his intent was to kill the other dog no doubt about. Of cause 90% or more of rotties akitas etc have no experience of disabling large animals the only thing they use their te

I doesn't but it's evidence that they not the wet blankets that many would have you believe they are and IME many of these fiery types seem to show that bit extra out in the field, like every thing its finding the balance.

That depends what you mean by average, if you consider the average saluki in the west is a show dog then you are likely right but even then I know of plenty of show salukis that have a real passion for taken out foxes. Really don't where this notion comes from that Salukis are soft, nervy dogs because in my experience they are nothing of the sort and I find it hard to believe mine are anything special or unique.

Only one of mine has not taken them with gusto, with the one didn't it was more like he viewed them as off limits in the same way as he would view sheep, poulty etc he just didn't look at them. He was a rescued dog so I did not have him as young dog so I don't know if with correct entering things might have been different. He wasn't fiery dog like all my other Saluki have been so maybe it just wasn't in him. 3 of the Salukis I have/have had would kill other dogs given the opportunity that I have no doubt about and that includes those larger then themselves, I'm not saying this to impress a

hows first dog bred mate what lines he from, like the look of that bitch-credit to you mukka.atb The dog is out Dan (Brother to Hammies Nance) X Saluki (I'm sure she was called Lucy but I never knew her KC name) I lost him to suspected Pyothorax at 5 year old. The BeardieX is my O/H's, great bitch when she was in the right fettle, awesome on the lamp but would throw in the towel at any given moment, even letting a hard won rabbit go and just watch it run away like someone had flicked a switch in her head, strange bitch for sure.

Hardly thawed for days here, last few days have been like permafrost, no give whatsoever. Even the dunes have been frozen solid.

And I remember advertisments in shop windows wanting people to cull the rabbits in Ford and Etal !!And have been there on permission with dogs and guns, and never seen a keeper doing his job !! Was there with my brother and a keeper from Delaval Lands to try and sort out the pest control..a few years back, mind, but it was an area allways hit by the lads !! Cheers. I was there in 1996 for 4 years, 2 years YTS 2 years full time before up to Lauder and in that time I had no one coming on my beat for rabbits neither was there a need, I was young, fit and single and out all hours doing

I remember the car well lol, I used to keeper on Ford and Etal lol good times. Edited to add; Hope the OP lad gets clear, if he keeps his head he should get clear. I've been caught re3d handed walking land carrying game and still the case was thrown out as every bit of evidence could be angled towards circumstantial, Gamekeeping College years learning the in's and outs of the laws has be more than useful to me.
