    Saw a dead hedgehog on the road yesterday it was near to where I had helped one across the road and it bit me a few weeks previous.Never been bitten by a hedgehog before that :11: Ruby

    Bird Flu

    With talk of bird flu getting closer and the memories of foot and mouth still clearly in my mind(it had a huge impact on my life),just wondered if anyone knew what Defra's first advice would be to us.This event may never happen but should it, how would it affect each of our different lifestyles.Any ideas?     Has any one else used it or anything better?I used it after bathing the dogs when they had been to ground for a while or in deep undergrowth.It definitely helped clean the eyes and stop the eyes from clouding over due to soil and clay in them.Good for our eyes too. Ruby

    I have a greyhound/bull/ridgeback and believe me there is nothing wrong with her.She was bought as a pup because both parents were exceptional workers and just happened to be this mixture not bought because of the breed mixture.Her only quirk being she is not good around strangers. Ruby

    Apologies for my ignorance, but do they have any natural predators in your country?Do they also smell as bad (billys)as the goats in england? because do they stink :sick: I winded something whilst out with the dogs last week about a quarter of a mile off and it turned out to be the biggest smelliest goat you ever did see :11: Ruby

    I think raisins are dried black grapes.sultanas are dried green grapes,and currants are dried black currants, dates are yummy and prunes well they make you REGULAR .But I could be talking a load of sh**e normally am. :11:

    Recently seen vets stapling equipment advertised in a magazine for small wounds,just wondered if anyone had used them,what they thought of them etc.I prefer a wound slightly open to allow it to drain. Ruby

    Great to meet you today Mistwalker and Polecat and good chat with Foxgun Tom. Did well in both shows, getting reserve with my black fell terrier in open show and won Scottish Champion of Champion with red lakey dog so am well chuffed

    Cleaned my hen hut out today and noticed a couple of little black fleas scurrying about in my socks!Any advice please on what to treat my hens and hut with.Last year I saw some red crab like creatures that layed piles of white eggs at the base of a feather around the tail,I sprayed the hens with front line and the last one I did died instantly don't know if it was the front line(I know its not licenced for birds)or I just scared it too much.It cleared the hens but I don't want another dead bird.
