    My mate has a fully moderated Baikal in .410 and reckons that with subsonics its quieter than an airgun , he likes it so much he just bought a 20 gauge as well , been looking for a 28 gauge in one myself ,better pattern than the .410 ,s .

    Any good gun auctions in South wales or borders ? Use to be one in town Abergavenny run by auctioneers Eric Thomas but when he died so did they . Tried a websearch but nothing local to me , looking for a Laurona Eibar o/u with the game scene engraving on action .

    Been reloading 12 gauge for years but due to cost of buying factory loaded small gauge .410 ,28 gauge etc it makes more sense to do these now more so than 12 gauge , so bought a rto tool and some consumables ,hulls,powder and primers but wondering how many doing it and wether to go for the outlay of machine ,mec,s are around £200 for junior model new don,t think there,s cheaper one .

    Had it back this morning ,seems to be working ok but he,s trimmed off a bit of the pin ,so will have to try it when and if the rain eases off .

    I doubt wether your 3" would be capeable of taking the pressure required from a 3 1/2" load but would have to be retested so not worth the hassle imo.

    I,ve had 9mm shotguns (still got one) great for close range but they were designed to fire 9mm bullets originally and called gallery guns ,hence as long as you use shotshells its shotgun permit but for the solid bullets you need sect. 1 ,i,ve also had .22 rimfire both on firearm ticket with rifled barrel and on shotgun permit with smooth bore barrel but same applies to this as the 9mm ,so its all down to barrel i.e. smooth bore and min 24" shotgun ,rifled bore or under 24" sect 1 , by the way .22 are 5.5mm if you buy shotshells again you only need shotgun cert. but all solid roulds c.b. caps e

    Hi Jurgen , I have heard of this "wild and Hund" before but can,t remember where , Is it a hunting club , what do you use for wild boar rifle or shotgun and slug load , interested as I have seen driven wild boar video and it looks quite precarious ,welcome to the forum . The translation is "The Wild Hunt" and taken from ancient folklore , what dogs do you use , I have been thinking about a Teckel to work with the gun as I lost my old terrier 18 months ago to old age , have a whippet but only use him when not shooting .

    Well I dropped this gun off last weekend at a gunsmith but not heard anything from them rang them several times but no answer ,thought it would have been simple fix for someone with the right tools !

    I shot sxs and singles (p/a and semi auto) for 40 years found I was doing better with the singles so just sold one sxs and bought an o/u Saturday ,hav,nt even tried it yet but got some clays inline for next w/e . Try as many types and chokes as you can and see how you find most comfortable for fit and results .

    I,ve got a few of the SMK rifles along with top brands - AA S200 ,BSA Ultra,S10 ,HW 97k,two HW 35,s HW80 but I love shooting them all got a SMK 78 bulk fill that I was shooting spinner targets on a range at 50mts and I,m no youngster - my eyes are nowhere near as good as my sons and he,s 31 this year ,so enjoy you will be real pleased with welsh Will,s work he,s very good indeed !

    when i can I buy bock of 250 or more for best price ,use to reload for clays but lot of clubs don,t like it now ,not sure why not ?

    i just go for best price I can get ,don,t notice much difference in the brands ,but Eley by choice when i can afford it.

    As above post ,too many variables ,shot size ,choke ,catridge length ,std or mag load ,but as a rule small shot will travel a shorter distance than large but give a better pattern (again depending on choke) small shot up to size 5 or 6 around 5o yards max in decent pattern ,large shot AA ,SG etc lot further - 90 yds or more but normally big holes in pattern ,only real way to tell is to pattern your gun with various size shot cartridges , rifled slug 150 -200 yds !

    Also wanted Gun safe to hold 10 guns or more preferably with internal locking safe deep enough for scoped rifles .

    one and only price drop £40 , I think choke is 3/4 only for sale as I need space in my gun safe !
