shes gone to her new home and they seem right for her. think they seem happy with just how good she works for a grey. if reading this lads keep me updated on how she gets on
its doesnt work as easy as that. with greyhounds to race them and keep and train them at yours you have to have an NGRC LICENSE. plus you have to apply to your local track to see if there are any slots for your dog to race and so on. for a complete new comer to the sport i would keep yours with a professional trainer and learn from the sport that way. in greyhounds a second in time is worth alot and you might find it hard to even get it to grading standard as normally 1.5 seconds splits the open to A10 GRADE, A10 being the slowest. but either way you do it i doubt you get much money off it at
hi could anyone give a greyhound bitch a loving home. she is only 17 months old and injury free. she was gonna be pts at the local track but saved her and brought her home. even tho didnt have the space. she has blinding speed and will stay. they were only gonna terminate her due to not following the rail instead following the imatation hare so she was losing time on the bends. she is not like most greyhounds she is very bidable and great recal off lead. i did rehome her but they had change of circumstances so i had her back. she has had few rabbits on the lamp with my friend and shes just lea

this might be to simple but you say its your mums dog if shes anything like my mum never letting the heat go below 30.c in the house this might be the reason, to much of a temperature change from being very roasty to coming out in poor weather conditions might shock the system a little and being a whippet might be a little more suseptible to the big change. maybe this might be your problem.
hope this might help

p.s i know its simple and i hope i dont offend you or you think im daft in mentioning it but sometimes it can be the little things lol
mate to be honest if you still think hes got what is required of him especially health wise then go for it. some dogs can work till the day they die. my dads old farm collie katie worked the sheep till 15. so goes to show they can do it.
you'l get many strong seasons from her yet shes only five. nice to see she gone to great home. the quarry wont know whats hit them with that pack in the field.

i think fence hoppers right normal best to let the pup chosse you so to speak. but good things are to looks at feet and so on. plus look at there temperament see what you like the best
hes got cracking feet on him. he runs round the farm yard all day messing about with my other bed/whip/grey. and latley hes got a massive obsession with killing the rats hes for ever in the barn finding them. to be honest couldnt ask any more from a dog looking forward to this season think now hes matured a little a switch has turned in his head and early signs are cracking. just wanted the breeding of him cleared up. as can help with correct entering and so on
cheers for the comments so far lads, what do people think he will grow to, being 10 months now and at 25tts. must admit hes been a shocker all the people who saw him as a pup said he'l only be around 20-21tts.
few sandy like mine, couple was black/grey and 1 white
I have seen quite a few litters of beddy hybreds over the years and in second crosses the fawn and blacks/greys seem the dominant coulour even [bANNED TEXT] bred out of coulored greyhounds. Some black dog pups the brothers to mine i thought the same their might have been some thing else in the grey/beddy and it does tend to do you head in a bit.
have to agree there mate does your head in.
