ask our lass :laugh: ..........seriously tho under twenty inchs ad say was small in the lurcher game....my preference is at least 24 an over to be honest for the little nit of rabbiting i do these days,,,, To be honest I see no reason for dogs under 20" and are they worthy of the title lurcher which should be capable of all round lurcher work whereas a smaller dog would be restricted/impeded by it's size. i ano but thats just lyk saying a big dog long dog carent turn -

sorry you find the topic pointless. I would never question a dogs prey drive just because it is biddable and I'm afraid I don't subscribe to the "doubling up/older dog showing the way theory" and never have. I hadn't shouted the dog back it was a few feet in front of me it's much easier to nip things in the bud before they get out of hands.
