  1. The thing is most of the time the wind will be in your face or from an angle, not from the side. This is harder to judge the effect on the bullet. A direct side wind would be eadier, but not often would it be directly from the side, also you have gusty wind.
  2. I have been out in very high winds taking head shots at 100yds and aiming straight at them. I find that the wind does not affect it much up to 100yds after that the bullet is loseing power/ speed and more easily affected. I'm not saying the wind is not affecting the line of the bullet. What I am saying is its not a lot, well not as much as poeple say. If i miss its my fault not the wind lol
  3. Good luck with it, cant wait to get my pup going

  12. Will do mate and good luck with yours. As long as the dog enjoys it as much as us it will work harder. I just enjoy getting out, all the fun of the chase
  13. Supposed to be straight whippet, but you never really know. Can only accept what you have been told unless bred from ped dogs yourself. Pic does not do him justice and looks more like whippet.
  14. Cheers. He is a bright dog. I am pleased with him already.
  15. Yea I was going to see how he was, but thinking around 10 to 12 months.
  16. Here he is. Kids have called him Jasper. They were going to call him Casper, but when I was lamping him someone would think I was ghost hunting lol
  17. better off not being a ped sometimes, not that it makes a huge difference, sounds like he aint kc registered , make no difference without a bit of paper , good luck Thanks. I agree, not really interested in pedigree. As long as he can run. Not too bothered in big numbers either. I shoot plenty net net loads to. Going to let him take the ones that don't present a safe shot with the rifle (which is quite a lot) also get the od runners.
  18. To be honest not sure lol. Supposed to be ped. Father is large breed whippet. Did not come with papers but just got him for a bit of fun. Gone use him with ferrets and take him on the lamp with rifle.
  19. Just bought a whippet pup. It's a little cracker, can't wait to get it going when old enough. Would like to hear about your working whippets and the way they perform. Had lurchers in the past but not for years now.
