  1. Thanks for the back stage passes, it was like a dream come true! xx

  2. Where was the pissing around? That was a good strong hare with a clever dog behind it! Boxing it away from the cover, that hare wanted to get to those brussels, but the dog did its home work and pushed it away from the cover, tired it, closed in on it and caught it. In my eyes that was a good course. Got in there, coursed it, caught it, job done! I suppose everyone elses dogs could do much better. Those were the days eh!
  3. They are good though.
  4. Artic and Arcticgun's dogs send the message home! I know Artics have Merlin and Eves lines, what does yours have Arcticgun?
  5. Wxm, yes I have carefully checked several times in between his toes because he was licking the foot that he was holding up, but I couldn't see a thing.
  6. Thanks for your reply Troter58 and Pm's, I guess you can see where I was coming from.
  7. I'm a bit stump. Two days after returning from a walk with the dogs one of them started to limp and hold his right paw up. On the walk he was fine, at home he was fine. It was only after an hour or so when he got up he started to limp.(Before this he was walking in the house fine) I stated to feel from the top of his shoulder all the way down to his foot, to see if I get any reaction. Nothing. I then checked his pad and inbetween the knukkles and could not see anything abnormal. 2days on after just resting him at home he can actually walk on the that foot, however although he is now p
  8. This is reminding me of Little Red Riding Hood You blew it man!!!! LOL I'll start again!
  9. Should it now says he! What a fine gentleman you are.
  10. So he did lol Yes live it totally. There you go.
  11. A community forum were we share our knowledge/experiance, offer and recieve help and advice. To DEBATE in a healthy manner and not name call and assume the worst in people. So no offence WILF.... LOL leave Mr Artic alone, he's a useful person!
  12. Agree fieldsman! Looking good Artic.
  13. What a nasty man you are. Who do you think you are? You are a show off, who gets his kicks off here thinking you know your stuff and trying to degrade people who actually have great knowledge, understanding, and has done so much for the countryside and fieldsports in the fact. Seems there might be a little jealousy here, no no but you will deny that wont you WILF. Respect you say, well anyone would have to be silly to respect someone like you. Bet your farmer/keeper doesn't know that you have your small balls flashed oh here! See what respect you get then! Perfetic attitude, and you
  14. I think he will need it even more so of he has been given some form of responsibility, espeacially if he is talking to members of the public and not telling them the correct information. Have a little think about it. Oh and WILF if that is you in your avatar, then you should feel ashamed showing such a small pair of balls!
  15. Read the act again. "Livestock" The definition of 'livestock' includes cattle, sheep, goats, swine, horses and poultry. Game birds are not included." If it was any of the above then yes. No mention of hares? Hare coursing is illegal as we all know, thats a different situation different act. Section 5.9 of The Hunting Act 2004.
  16. Game Birds are not classified as Livestock once released from their pens. So if your dog was to worry them, i.e chase them then there is nothing to worry about as DEFRA states and the farmers should know better not to ask anyone to leash up their dogs whilst walking them. Catching them out of season is a different ball game. I understand if the dogs are running around the pens, then as a responsible dog owner and common sense you should leash them up. It's not about being so anti, it's knowing your rights, walking your dogs in peace and not being targeted because you are walking a lurcher
  17. Oh dear, what a nasty man. I thought the Irish law was much leaner than ours. 10yrs for multiple crimes as those! Oh dear....
  18. Some of the best fit looking lurchers I've seen for a while. It's funny how I can take pictures of animals out in africa hunting, but cannot get a decent shot with my lurchers. Good photos there.
  19. There are good friends on here that have met, even grown up together, family, brothers, sisters, uncles, mums and dads who are into the same sport and socialise on here etc..... But i'd say % have never met and have fallen into the trap of internet friendship. Never trust anyone on the internet NEVER!
  20. Wouldnt buy a ferret box off the man....the build quality is shite and his after sales demeanor is abysmal.....so far up his own arse its not true...go elsewhere fella...atb stabba Thats not the John I know. He's not the cheapest, but you can see why! Stick to cheap Amazon/ebay flat pack kits if your not willing to pay the price, or slave to the grind stone and make your own.
  21. So 3 of you walking a dog (Lurcher) farmer see's you all. Dog has wondered off for what ever reasons. I can see why the farmer was angry with you and why he questioned you, and why he called the police. It's not a waste of tax payers money, thats their job to deal with rural crime. Fast and efficicent method. You cant beat the eye in the sky, and this could of been a genuine incident involving poaching. If he did use threatening behaviour then report him and explain to the police how he made you feel at the time of saying it to you. And then add that you use the same footpath with
  22. thatcher was two ends of a c**t Thatcher had balls!!
  23. I think when people hear and read the word "Bull" added to a certain X they straight away assume a fat small slow dog. I have never had a need for a Bull X, I run deerhound x and Saluki X. I do think that some bull X's can have alot of drive, sometimes too much!!! I have seen a fair few bull X's run, some were slow, bad footed, not much stamina, however others have been the opposite and would run on the lamp all night to a degree. If your happy with it, stick by it.
  24. Yup charity shop quilts and pillows.
