  3. This could be a case of "be careful of what you wish for"....if they are successful in getting permission to release the lynx then I wouldn't be surprised in a few years to see the same kind of attempt made to reintroduce the bear and wolf, down south here they have just released another 7 sea eagles on the IOW....god knows where this latest batch will end but I have hear one of the last lot released is flying around with red kites well inland...fully expect to read of missing lambs and small pets in months to come as the EU have taken all the fish!
  4. Can't say without seeing the other side of the valve...if there's a smallish threaded hole in the other side then it's probably a surface bottle subject to 5yr test, although why someone should remove the gauge for a gun is odd. IF on the other hand it takes a seperate gauge that fits ito the thread that can be seen (brass nut part etc) then it is not surface use only and sublect to the 2.5 yr test.... If that wee hole is threaded then it looks to be a surface bottle...just needs a gauge, which can be bought from http://www.bestfittings.co.uk/shopdisplaycategories.asp?id=20&am

  6. No price....no response to pm....strange,I thought he wanted to sell it!
  7. When you say 'no gauge' is it a dive bottle?....unless it's fitted with a surface valve it will be out of date as the test for dive bottles is 2.5 yrs.
  8. Well there goes 25 minutes of my life!...still the popcorn was good,as for all that nonsense.........I blame brexit
  9. Okeydoke....what's it all about then?....just reading the classifieds and noticed I cannot post a new topic anymore, somewhat puzzled?
  10. I find a can of raid is handy, need a still windless day though,my garden is over run with the bloody things to the extent that I now see less of the common orb weaver spider.....I have no sleepless nights dealing with false widows or other non native species for that matter
  11. He wasn't on about your cam micky, sorry blues I've been a bit busy, the cmos board I have in the spotter came from this camera http://www.dhgate.com/product/mini-139-cmos-700tvl-16mm-board-security/157747477.html#s1-16-1|4139453168 although listed as a 1/3 I have my doubts,it could be a 1/4 sensor but works well all the same. The seller is on ebay and will sell just the board no case or lens etc, although I can't recall his name on the bay but message him on dhgate if you want to know more etc. Sorry to hear about the pitfalls in your camera micky,I got one from MC (link on this thread some
  12. No idea tbh,the setup was no worse or better than others to be honest I think it might be the company letting down the product more than the product letting down the company. But in my opinion I am happy it was out there as it helped, like many other units,to get people into making their own but at far less cost this in turn has helped to bring better units to the market for those who don't want to or can't for any reason make their own. Looking forward to the ATN x sight....should it ever arrive

  14. The trees down in the dip at the bottom of the track are 314 yds according to google maps,12.5-75mm lens would give 6x iirc at 75mm full zoom etc. There is an xp driver in the torch but no dimmer like there is on the add on nv...however,the spotter torch sits above the cam on the outside of the project box,xp driver in the cut down torch body. The faint lines vanished when I unplugged the dvr, this is the exact same setup but using the video leads supplied with the h720 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTTVLpf_poQ&feature=youtu.be On the add on the dimmer is in the project box behind t
  15. Hi Dad .....funny you should mention those faint lines, they went when I unplugged the h720 dvr ....could be my home made lead causing a bit of interference, will have to try it with the lead supplied with the dvr to check. I found the ex-view ccd better than the cmos at close range, will have to buy another of those miracle cottage ex-view cams and see how it performs as a spotter compared to the cmos imx 139 sensor....I do have the ex-view as well but it's setup as the add on nv at the moment and I can't be bothered to swap them round I too am guilty of just showing the end result, but then

  18. The thing that puzzles me the most....is the sad little people who go to the trouble of logging into pootube just to give a 'thumbs down' on videos,I mean seriously....why would you bother taking a few minutes out of your life just to do that!. I have this picture in my head of sad little lonely 'ain't got no life cept my compootar and media sites' type person sat there night after night hunting down these videos, mouse under one hand, bottle of plonk in t'other!
