    You sound like a typical shooter. Took it up because you watched an Arnie film once. I shoot, hunt and fish, however shooting driven hares is easier than shooting rabbits with a rimfire. Rather be with the dogs, spend your life with them feeding, training and getting them fit and watching them work, while with a gun, you use it and put it away for next time. You wouldn't know that though because you don't have the commitment. "Typical shooter"............     I agree...very well written informative post but i just wonder about a few things. When you say you let the poults settle in for a night when they arrive does that mean you dont go and check them before dark... I'd be shitting myself that they were all out the pen? And second why dont you whistle the birds in on shoot day, isn't it the whole point in whistle feeding to get the birds into a cerain drive at a certain time...

    OHHHHH.............. Is that really you mate? Now that would have been a bleeder..... Yeah it is, I weren't watching what I was doing, and the cutter kicked back and ended up in my leg . Didn't really bleed that badly, because the heat of the blade cauterized the wound lol. Getting it cleaned out and stitched up hurt much more than when it happened, that was torture. Worst bit was having to buy another pair of jeans surely.........

    nice, could I ask you what you would do if you caught couple of lurcher men lamping rabbits on your land. away from your stock not bothering anyone ? I've said it before on here.....lamping wouldn't bother me but the lamping without asking would. Lets face it i've no idea what your lamping so it could be a bit expected if i was a bit miffed when approaching anyone. I suppose it would be like me getting a torch and walking about your back garden at night, you'd want to kill me for "trying to steal your dogs" but really i was just there for a walk.....

    I certainly wouldnt put a loaded gun to their chest, smash their motor up, Beat them up or call the police. I would let them tag along and if they were alright people, invite them back.
