The Titan roe sacks are good for the money Hoolit ive had one for a good few years now and its still going strong, can fit two does in if packed right. Got mine of Evilbay cheap ( about 30 quid IIRC ) the cordura fabric is a bit stiff when new but soon wears in and becomes quieter. ATB Alan.

If its foxes mate the 40's will do the job fine, fast and flat shooting only reason i use the 55's is I use 55 grain softpoints on roe which are the same zero exactly as the vmax.
-
good luck mate glad to hear you have someone to show you the ropes. once you've got your load developed for your rifle you wont believe the accuracy. out of curiousity what make of rifle is it ? if its a 1 in 12 twist barrel try 55 grain vmax if fox and vermin is your quarry. ATB Alan. edited to add i just read your earlier post and see your rifle is a remy 700, this has a 1 in 12 twist so the 55 grain will be a good choice, lighter weight heads will work also but i wouldnt go much above 55's in this twist.

My best tip is to find someone with a proven record in reloading and get them to show you what to do before you even think of loading a cartridge yourself. It can be a dangerous game mate if not done correctly. ATB Alan.

That must have made a Yorkshireman's eyes water at that price Just out of curiousity John what do you throw at roe through the 7mm ? ATB Alan.

2 Cub fox last night with 12 bore
brno17 replied to RabbitController's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
you might find it sad mate but a sadder photo would be a release pen those two had got into or when they squeezed under the electric fence on a free range chicken farm and got to the sheds when theyre a couple of months older makes no difference to me what age they are on the shoots/farms we do the foxing on, if we find a litter, after we get the adults, a fox is a fox, they all grow into the same thing so the cubs will be dealt with. not always a pleasant job but its vermin control after all. i dont suppose anybody would say a thing if the lad had shot a bagful of branching rooks -
jackson rifles will offer a 40% trade in against a new T8 but you should think about a wildcat P8 mate, fully strippable/cleanable and you can oil them so dont rot like the Reflex and even if for some reason the baffling did go in time you can just by replacement baffling. no "ting" when you fire and calibre specific too. atb alan.

Is anyone still using devon minnows for trout fishing
brno17 replied to slingshot's topic in Fresh & Salt Water Fishing
What you are using by the description is a quill minnow mate not a devon minnow. you're right about them being rare though. if you find a supply buy as many as you can afford or learn to make them, its not too difficult but you need a ready supply of swan/goose quills. atb alan. -
Ditto crack on John keep the pics coming, nice stills of the shot, something most of us only see through the scope in the blink of an eye atb alan.
-
have to agree with above mate, always get the vixen first, then the cubs are going nowhere.......they'll be gone by daylight
-
brilliant vid boys despite missing the shot being taken great looking ground too Martin, as FD commented " made for deer ". more please atb alan.
-
just keep an eye on the fields mate, they'll hit it when its drilled dependant on spillage but some of our best shooting is when the shoots come through and get to about 3 inches tall and upward until it gets too thick for them to land in, once this happens watch any parts of the fields that havent germinated well as they'll hit those. they love em !!! good luck alan.
-
thats a good bag of the blackstuff mate i'm out after them on barley drill tomorrow. fkin 100's of them on it

Thanks lads, its just that i was told that they only go to crops cheers no mate as above, if theyre feeding on it go for it had some good days on clover. atb alan

only if he wants his ground wiped out................. well done David, nice buck mate Who mentioned his ground ???????? Its got nothing to do with you anyway ??? Why arse-lick and say its a nice buck when its just a cull buck ? It would have to be David's ground being the parasitic person that you are. Answer me this on an open forum Mark, in the two or so years i had you up here ( before i learned what you were ) shooting deer, fox, pigeons, crows, pheasants and snipe etc how many return invites did i get from you ? Oh and maybe this has got nowt to
