  1. Kept indoors, He was on his way to the vets when he rang me. Just wondered if anyone had experienced something similar with their mutts
  2. Mate rang me this morning saying that his bull x was shaking a lot and does not seem her self. He tells me she hasn't eaten anything funny or banged her head at all but she has just come out of season Anyone got any ideas?
  3. Does anyone know if you can still buy the grey deben locator collars? The ones that came out before the magnetic collars. I recently lost one of mine and I am keen to replace it asap J
  4. Always a kick in the guts!! RIP Riff
  5. Mine ate a chicken vindaloo off the side last year. I woke up to shit everywhere and the bitch whimpering by the back door. When i let her out, she went and sat her arse in the garden pond and wouldn't budge for hours. Id give it a miss haha
  6. Often this can be due to a neck problem. Took mine to a track vet with a similar problem and she put the bitch's neck back in place. Apparently it happens if they run into things, in my case mine crashed into another dog in the park. Hope that helps
  7. the injection is about £60 isnt it?
  8. Just came home to find that my lurcher bitch (in season) has got in with one of my male terriers!! The same thing happened last year and i got her injected at the vets to prevent any pregnancy. I have heard that this can only be done once. Is this true? If so, is there anything else I can do to stop her catching? Any help much appreciated!!
  9. Take her out with a dog that is doing the job already, let her see what u want her to do when u slip her. Had a dog like that a while ago, he just used to race them. But as soon as he learnt what his job was, he took to it very well! Good luck
  10. Where can i get hold of the raspberry tea and where would i find out the correct dosage?? When is to late to get her injected to take her out of THIS season, there is no blood yet but she is starting to show signs.........my Lakeland is getting properly pissed off with her trying to f**k him all day!! Thanks
  11. Ive heard the injection can make them a mess with their hormones.....been told to steer clear. Thanks for the tips tho, some one told me raspberry tea can help against phantoms??
  12. Morning all, Got a 13 month old lurcher bitch that is coming into season for the second time. It is about the right time for her to come in as she had her first season in March time. However, her last season left her with a phantom that kicked the crap out of her physically and really slowed her progress. I have just got her back into reasonable shape and here comes her season again.....gutted. Is there anything i can do to minimize the risk of another phantom or could I delay her season somehow until after the hunting season? I have heard about putting her on the pill b
  13. Cheers, looks pretty simple. I will have a practice in the park tonight. Glad i finally got hold of one, the Deben one wasnt great at all.
  14. Just splashed out on a second hand Pieps - bellman and flint box and collar set up having used the deben system for years. I was wondering whether someone could give me a basic guide of how to use the box as it seems a lot more complicated than the Deben system. Or is there somewhere i can get hold of the Instruction manual? Thanks
  15. Always had mine on Dr Johns Gold - Terriers and Lurchers (as part of a mixed diet) Keeps them in good nic
  16. Used a WAM caller for a long while, excellent bit of kit but very fragile. Found out as i crushed it whilst climbing a fence. Will be buying another for sure
  17. Great lookin pups fellas - Lot of effort been put in to them
  18. Im about to start lamping my bitch at 12 months. She looks similarly bred to yours. I'll be made up if we catch any!! haha Top work mate
  19. Yeh im clued to ebay at the moment!! My only problem with the new box is the lack of sound. If the dog was to go out of range, it would mean walking, potentially through rough terrain, with your eyes fixed to the bloody box looking for a light. As opposed to putting it in your pocket and waiting for a beep Just my opinion, the £385 price tag has nothing to do with it.............................haha
  20. Im after a Bellman and Flint set - The old one with the Pieps box. I know its not the right place to post this but there is no clear place for terrier locators in the Classified section. ATB
