  8. Personally mixing with other like minded intrested people is a great asset to the managemnt of the animal, keeping the deer healthy , happy & correctly culled , & not shot out . Also the saftey & experience of person (s) in the group who may have years of intrest is passed on, as well as the great days out, on the challenge of the stalk, within a managed group. Its the getting on a level headed balance with like minded people, who have NO snobery issues or boasts to prove , that keeps it a comfertable & jealous free sport. That is the hard bit !!
  9. We only do whats needed, as they are a joy to see. Covering a reasonably large acreage, We culed 60+ last year of various breeds due to age or well being of the heards.

  11. You will enjoy the hornet calibre, s/p heads are as good as any, The Hornady 'v' max tend to be tricky to re-load, & are a swine in the mag !! Personally i would use 40gr heads ..as said dead is dead !! zero 1" high at 100yds . I never had anything walk away from a hornet 22 between 50-150yds . Have safe fun.
  12. They look to be & probably are simmon's or from the USA & also brander blaser scope , & re-badged JSR (i think) they are exceptional value for money .The scope you have , i have tried on 22 rimmy,222, 303 & 308 cal with great success to 300yds, so more than adequate for a rimmy.
