because guns have only just been invented havent they , come on hedz give your head a shake Nah mate ye hammer them it aint sporting is it they must be 1 of the easiest thing's to hammer with a gun and most of the lad's just bin them anyway the only skill or form of hunting ive got respect for with ye gun lad's is deer stalking What a right cuni you are...... It aint hot bird when they sit in a 4x4 and pop them of like fish in a barrel then take a picture of 15 to 20 hare's with a rifle laid in front i get pest control but why anybody would want to travel and call it sport is beyond me -

They wont be if ye wanker's with ye gun's get on them will there -
how will he be dissapointed the whippet will be just as good as a lurcher for lamping mabey not night after night but just as good all the same What if he doe's want to go out night after night what if he want's to stay out on a night 5 and 6 hour's and run more than 20 to 30 max and that is being generous,what about knock's and bang's that they dont take so well any man that's had a decent lurcher would be dissapointed in a whippet it's my opinion and i am entitled to it,if anybody want's to show me different be my guest ill have a look

Your right mate load's have tried to work it out i dont know if anybody has fully,i think the only one's that do understand it are the hound's did ye find that dog hound that hunted on mate or is he still missing ??

Would rather have a purpose bred lurcher anyday if you have had purpose bred lurcher's or running dog's in the past ie saluki/whippet/greyhound you will be dissapointed in a whippet and will soon see there short coming's i think,ive seen a few decent 1s but they were only decent for what they were and never seen 1 hold a patch to a good lurcher but each to there own

I wish ye hadnt put this up ye have my brain working now maybe when hound's are stinking and covered in scent of fox maybe the hound can detect there own scent oil's and particle's mixed in with the foxes and can distinguish a fresh scent trail from a litfed fox and know to ignore the previous because of the mixture of the 2

Ive wondered this before and i think every animal even of the same specie's still has it's own different scent pattern with the particle's and oil's they drop as a trail and the hound's recognise a fresh scent and different 1 from the 1s they have hunted earlier in the day,there is 2 theorie's how they follow scent 1 is the particle vibration's are what cause a paticular scent i think when you put a question up like that the other theory fit's and that is that the molecule's and partical's shape's and how those shape's fit with the scent sensor's in a hound's olfactory lobe's are how they work

Funnily enough i have seen one whilst out with a hunt terrierman and other mate near cheltenham a few years back, it came through 20mins before the hounds Went past a 6bar gate so the 3 of us all saw the size of it (all turned to each other and said did you see that!) the hounds took the same trail showing a size comparison, it was fookin massive compared to them!! Have also seen pug marks in the mud on farmland in wiltshire, big with no claw marks so not dog tracks! Don't forget they can shin up a tree in seconds and you may well walk right on past without ever even knowing it was there!
