  2. 100-350 last i heard but the 4yr old unbroken mare im thinking about i might be getting for 150 which is reasonable.
  3. think they were making an example out of them.... what pissed me off was that my fella wasnt even caught... no statements taken or nothing. he wouldnt have even ended up in court only for the court order being sent to his home house and his mam signed for it
  4. my fella was done by the fisheries, had a few beers one night him and his so called mates decided to go gaffing salmon out of season fellas were all steamed f*****g about with a lamp and spear and the bailiffs caught the lads but my fella got away motherfuckers grassed him up immediately to the bailiffs caught one of them a few months later and gave him a beating.... will catch up with the other when he comes back from oz nearly a grand fine each.... i had to sell my own stallion in order to pay the f*****g fine.
  5. believe they are going to be booked in to an abattoir owned by b + f meats in kilkenny, gonna get in touch and find out if they are taking in horses this monday
  6. they are booked in at the factory for next monday, im borrowing a horsebox as its a 2hr drive and going down for a look on friday. the main one im taking a look at is the part-broken 4yr old, if shes quiet and is sound theres a good possibility i'll buy her. the second one im taking a look at is the 12yr old brood mare that is supposebly a quiet mare to ride, will give her a test ride and see how she goes. im also going to contact the factory to check out the story i was given to make sure im not being conned
  7. h ooh your bad, good thing im not sensitive, ive considered buying horsemeat from the factory for cheap dogfood, this mare im looking at is for myself though as a riding horse
  8. i have been thinking about getting a horse for a while but was looking for one that was already fully broken and a bit older, this mare looks too nice for the factory though, im not the rescueing type usually! lol ive got just about enough grazing for 1 horse so i'll go and take a good long look at this one! theres 3 nice riding mares there as well that i was also considering 10yr old, 12yr old and a 5yr old roughly 300-500 each
  9. an appeal was put up on another site, at first i was skeptical but after talking to the lady in question im seriously considering buying one of the young mares destined for slaughter, there are 10 horses altogether rangeing from 1-12yrs some broken and riding rangeing from 100euro-500euro depending on whether they have passports, are broken and riding, size + weight. the lady in question is the neighbour to the owner of the horses. if anyone is interested in these horses pm me. the mare im thinking of buying is the one with the star in this pic, she is 4yr old 15.2 and part broken or am

  18. i think it would take say 2 or 3 generations in a family to produce and perfect a breed of your own, then only a couple of generations for the kennel club to f**k it all up! lol im in the middle of creating my own breed of chicken, havent got half the breeds in the mix that i need yet though! lol, come back to me in 10yrs and i'll hopefully have it starting to take shape lol Got to agree about kc lol, any chance of a few eggs ? lol. you'd have to be early to beat the neighbours, they just "happen ta call in for a cuppa" on a frequent basis to get their eggs, at this rate im gon
