  1. tick pickers work well .... check there ears too as they seem to hang around in there frequently.you can use frontline on them from the vets or the flea and tick vials monthly....they work well.
  2. the newer tx200 hc is a hell of alot more comfortable to shoot,,the stock is completely differant...its a hard decision between a tx and the hw97k but the 97k just pips it for me and they tune up really well
  3. you will struggle to get a setup for £200 mate, but a good springer will do you ....any of the weihrauch range are good, you can get a nice hw95k for that price maybe a nice setup from someone too with a scope....wont be a brilliant scope for that money but there good rifles and can always tune them at a later date, then you have the bsa lightning/lightning xl.... im naming lighter rifles here...if i had to have a springer for hunting id go for a hw97k or a silenced tx200hc....but there abit heavier being underlevers.also what calibre are you going for? with a springer .22 beech stocked rifl
  4. brilliant hutch mate, the new ferrets will love that to bits
  5. i owned one of these for a while, an idea for you mate would be to send it to John Bowkett and get it Blueprinted. He will almost double the shot count, set the power for you to pretty much what you wish as sometimes there low powered from the box,and he works the trigger, lessons the cocking effort and quietens them down aswel.but a good idea is to screw a weihrauch silencer on it....almost deadens it then...only sold mine as needed to fund something but wish i never did, although now i own a hw100k and although its a smoother gun i still miss my Bowketted ultra....Shot plenty with mine and cull
  6. are you keeping him on sawdust/shavings mate? ifso this can cause respritory problems....change the substrate over if your using them.
  7. shes become quite a nippy little cow aswel since yesterday...probably something to do with the hob harassing her for a shag good aye,he gets a shag and i got bit ....TW@S haha
  8. she can hold her own mate, although half the size than him hes ALOT more placid then her....little bitch but shes getting there....
  9. cheers ferretlove, ive used a salt water solution earlier.... seems to have quitened down for the last few hours....il let you know how she gets on,i can say she doesnt take much shit tho
  10. hi mate im no stranger to keeping and breeding animals and the people i got the ferrets from want some kits this year and therefore im willing to breed, things have been discussed and the kits will have the best thats for sure and there will be none without homes.what do you suggest to use on the open grazes on her neck,i know of treatments but would like others advice too
  11. ok ive been checking my jill daily and havent noticed her to have a swolen vulva at all, but the hob has been pulling her around abit and now seems to have made the back of her neck bleed abit obviously from biting her and keeping her still as he has been doing what knows best but would my jill of come into season without her vulva swelling up? and what would you recommend for the slightly sore neck? to keep it clean? cheers in advance and the jill sends her love
  12. cant beat John Darling, talks you through everything and makes it all sound very easy and interesting...tells you how it is...fred carter can be an anoying wanker at the best of times.....also loves the camera but a good watch none the less...although most are claimed as 'bootiful ed shot that, jus as ar fort ' when you see a huge fluff of feathers erupt from the birds chest.... but a good dvd though
  13. tried straw and shredded paper and the little fookers pull it all over the gaff so now i use 3 folded up sheets of news paper and an old jumper and half a dressing gown....when they get dirty just use another jumper/jogging bottoms and the other half of the dressing gown whilst there being vcleaned...warm and hygenic
  14. if they suit you mate there one of the best springers available, i shoot one aswel as my brother and dad...if mint and the new style chequered stock expect to pay around £180 quid on its own...you havent said what scope it is so its hard to price that
  15. sorry to hear that Tony, must be gutting....i have to admit im in 2 minds whether to use mine for ferreting after reading a good few threads of ferrets going missing, silly i know but that worry is always there and can spoil a good day out
  16. look at there interest rates mate....think you may change your mind...and its dependant on a finance companies decision too but otherwise a great company
  17. stick a target at 10 yards mate easier and quicker.....sod all that boresighting palarver
  18. cheers mad al....and na il keep my name mate LOL tis a great rifle though....
  19. yes mate how did you know it was a hard choice to make but for some reason it came down to the weihrauch.... just feels so nice and the cocking is super smooth and the quietness of the action is superb....still have a bsa s10k any day tho
  20. differant setup from the single and multishot...speek to john bowkett who designs and blue prints them his number is 01217454287
  21. depends on what your using it for mate? if hunting the id go .22 ..... nothing wrong with .177 but .22 hits alot harder and does the damage on a wider scale.... nothing gets up with a .22 head shot placed correctly...although some .177 shots do not kill as instant close range
  22. got the hw100k today and this silly lad fell victim to a .22 accupell just now....26 yard head shot.....slumped over like a sack of spuds
  23. hi mate, they are ambi and shots per fill are supposed to be just above 90 in .22, although lees divers bottle is low on air at the mo and only charging to 160 bar so we are getting on average 60-70 shots before and noticeable poi change at 30 yards so i can well believe the number of shots can be above 90....i cant stress enough how good this is....spot on zero from 10-25 yards and just a tiny drop after that....perfect for any hunting.....trigger is superbbbbbbbb and the whole rifle is faultless do you want one now hehe
  24. After much debating and deciding on what rifle i wanted next.... the decision came down to the HW100K .22.... received it today and what a rifle, smooth, well balanced, beautiful with a gorgeous stock and deadly bloody accurate... filled up and zeroed in, me and lee tried a few differant pellets, all as accurate as each other although accupell had the edge with a better trajectory....although a very close second are the exterminator 18g... quick fill and pressure guage, quiet as a mouses fart and theres nothing more you can ask from a rifle....chronoed at 11.4ftlb with accupell and it hard to p
  25. is it worth a 110 mile round trip ? and not being guaranteed a place when you get there? na dont think so
