collies are added to a grey to add prey drive??? :icon_eek: fook me, so far in past few days i learnt colliesx's have bad feet an noo collies are added to greys to add prey drive, couldnae script this pish colliexs have bad feet dont think so. the beardie collies have 1 of the best feet on a dog to work the land that they do. my collie/grey will run on any ground from grass,deep ploughed to quarry ground and has never had a bad injury let me rephrase that, i didnt mean to say that greyhounds dont have prey drive, they are sighthounds and will chase anything that movescollies hav

I thought it was always known collies were born with natural pray drive in them regardless of how much work, they have been used for generations because of their working abilities They are natural born herding dogs, what else would you expect from the working collie? Would you expect them to be a rabbiting collie to be put to a greyhound or whippet to produce so called proper working parents? Load of shite! Collie blood is added to purely to add their prey drive that their ancestors have past down through generations

Thanks lads I called the farmer of the permission about how we,d gone on, he was well pleased. He told us that if we thought there was lot on this land? wait until I take you to my fathers farm? It's heaving with them he said! He said we should easily get 100 in a day and you still won't make a big dint in them? Wtf? Lol So I said 30 on this permission, farmer says 100 on his dads? hi mate, no not all bolted, we had about 8 digs? 5 dug to and the rest moved on or bolted, but they were all about 2ft digs but stoney hard ground about 5" down, we struggled as we just had wide shovells, we needed narrow digging spades but mine was broke.chris

the smallest pup is from my first litter she only made 19" shes nearly 2, her sire was a beddyxgreyxwhipp 21" and her dam my bitch is a 21" 3/4whippx 1/4beddy. i cant understand why she didnt make 21"? as both side of parents parents were 21" 22"but shes like shit of a stick and lethal around sets the other pup is 8mths old and doing very well, i dropped 4 for her today all retrieved live to hand well pleased chris

We called on our new permission this morning and rabbits were a runnig all over the place, I said we,d get at least 30 today?. It was sheep graizing ground with two fields being partitioned by a long tree line pretty good ground to be honest, just three one hundred yard long nets were needed and a couple of stop nets inbetween to stop them hoping from hole to hole along with the dogs, my bitch and two of her pups from different litters all keen and eager. we had a great start two rabbits bolted into the nets as we were putiing them out?.. kamikaze bunnies? we didnt get started while 9ish and
