  1. you cant knock em! barrels a bit flimsy not the best standard silencer. but consistent an accurate.
  2. i just like a more traditional stock i dont like camo or synthetic either.
  3. i dont like thumb holes and 177 is my calibre of choice these days! coupled with having spent all my money the answer would have to be no. thanks anyway. the 77 is on the to do list but at a later date.,
  4. well what a difference a few weeks in thailand make ha ha! be interested to know of the fall from grace of the pro in mawders eyes?? i v-mached mine from word go, the trigger mech was a tad rough but i polished it all up an rebuilt it lush. look forward to the review! still keeping ne eyes peeled for a s/h hw77 just need to rebuild cash stocks.
  5. got one on mine brilliant very quiet marksman an davyt were both selling them on here, 60 quidish
  6. well there you go learn something new every day. spose that will account for the varnish finish so as to stop wearing off the color.
  7. ok thanks for that! i am keeping my eyes peeled for a 77 or 97 i am being more drawn to a 97 as they appear to have a moderator, i would like a walnut stock but am not keen on thumb holes. when one turns upi will certainly be giving tony a ring thanks again.
  8. bit off topic sorry! but how much does a tony wall hw97 tune cost just out of interest? i take it you are talking stage 2. and can he do the same job on a 77?
  9. i find ebay cheapest and easiest if you have an account with paypal.
  10. it means making a rifle better, smoother, more accurate, more consistent, more shots per fill (pcp's) or easier to cock (springers) it can involve polishing internal moving parts, different springs or fitting regulators. it can be a variety of prices depending on rifle type and how far you wish to take it! a v-mach kit (diy) is around £70 and for my prosport consisted of a spring, a guide,a top hat , lube and a new piston seal. various shops do tuning to various degrees at various prices! people will be along soon to say their favorites i am sure.
  11. i aint got no pics of targets will take some when i get out next, but i am off to thailand next sunday and am flat out getting my allotments and house and kid arrangements sorted.
  12. total bargain you could just use it for a year or 2 and then look into tuning it if its that new and consistant.
  13. if you are strapped for cash i would recommend a s/h AA tx200 springer or a hw 97/ 77/95/80 if the rifle you have ( just guessin) is a smk one of those will feel and shoot like a dream! and you will need no bottle (which costs to get filled) or pump. but for 500 you will pick up a decent pcp set up. AA400 and 410s are great reliable rifles . bsa ultras seem to be held in high regard as well and are fairly cheap! good luck.
  14. i think for the money they are pretty unbeatable! i have 2 Hawke Sport HD 4-12x50 IR AO
  15. you can legally kill with a catty but its illegal to injure with one??? which sums up the laws in this country bloody ridiculous.
  16. think he asked for his account to be deleted! got fed up with it on here! bloody shame because even though he was a bit blunt, he was honest and knew his air rifles and all ways gave spot on advice.
