Used to have my spring pole set up so only back feet where on the ground but found they got a better work out if i set it lower so all 4 feet where nearly on the ground front ones making contact if they pulled hard enough...in fact now a days i work em by hand with just a knotted bit a rope tug of war style...find pulling against me makes em work harder...no matter what height the pole was set at they would allways run over and swing on the f****r...these days the wife is growing a vine up it
they always work harder if youve got one hand on the chain eh would do it manualy but the bull
your right brindle, the dog cant have been vacinated or booster not up to date, sorry to here about the dog but your mate should jab his dogs if he hasnt then hes an arsehole.and its all his own f*****g fault.
fair enough, if there was a chance of a fight i would not let them on it at the same time, and they are always supervised, its never left down without me being there. what dogs you feed pal?if you dont mind me asking
why is that running? my dogs have always done this(and alot of friends dogs),its a great conditioning tool for bulls, some will fight but as long as you know your dogs theres no issue should always have the dogs rear feet on the ground.
try putting a spring(i use a spring i nicked out of the kids trampoline ) on a rope then tie the tyre or a tug toy to that.that way they use all body, even feed my bulls and mastiffs of it ocassionaly
ive got one but never use it,nothing beats a good run out or road work, there a lazy mans tool, only any good if you want to condition multiple dogs and struggle for time,
