Just to say cant wait for tonight first night out on the lamp for me and my dog hes 12 months old and iv bin told to let him be a puppy first so now me and my uncle who is helping me out with him think its time he told me its better to start them on a lamp so im going with his advie its always worked for his dogs so hopefully mine to hes 1/4 greyhound 1/4 lurcher 1/4 sluki and 1/4 greyhound and he aint a bad dog calmed down loads listens to me ok he runs good just hope it good on a rabbit im not expecting miracles but if he kills
  2. Can't help on whether or not red mite affects ferts, but when there's a bad infestation, you probably need to re-felt the roof cos the fecky things will be hiding under the old felt. Ok mate thanks i have a roll of felt because the old stuff is a bit tatty thanks

I have just got myself a big chicken coop with a court area in it anyway it was free if i cleaned it the person who had it last told me it was full of red mite so i steam cleaned it and spayed it to hell with this mite spay it ok now still a few mites only about ten or something like that and i was just woundering if the red mites afected ferrets because it will make a lovley ferret court as it is nice and big advice needed please. thanks BIGASH

  6. Mate great pics looks like a good days ferretin im out sunday for my first of the season im taking my 11month old lurcher pup get him started the terrier looks a nice dog happy ferreting mate.
  7. Hi mate Mk3 is the best i got mine from www.ianhodgefieldsports.co.uk it was £150 thats for the newest Mk3 m with 1 collar i was going to get it off of ebay but they go for silly prices sometimes also check on the the for sale forums on this site its good to . hope that helped
  8. Hi guy's i cant help but get exited when i log on to THE HUNTING LIFE id like to start with saying thank you very much for creating a great website like this. Anyway i was just woundering if anyone has been like me itching to get out and get ferreting well iv woke up the last 3 mornings and looked out into the garden and its been nice and cold even a tiny bit of frost and everytime i loook at the ferret pens all 3 seem to look at me as if to say we cant wait ether. Ive got an 11month old lurcher pup an a want to start him this season any tips send me a message today im goin out asking

Mate i had the same problem i thinck every1 has it all i do is call them [bANNED TEXT] i go to feed them thatrs a good way and also lots of handling i get my 2 kits out weneva i get the chanece also let other people hold them so they get used to other people to my frend neva botherd letting anyone els hold his hob and 1 day we wer out ferreting and he was a bit ruffed up by a big buck rabbit and he bit me straight on the finger my god they hurt a lot more [bANNED TEXT] there bigger so dont worry about a few little nips hope that was some help to u (BIGASH)

Hi all i was just asking for a bit of advice i have a hob ferret who is about 4 years old iv also gone and got myself to new ferret kits a young hob and a jill but weneva i try to introduce them together my older hob always goes for them and trys to bite them i have to move quick to get him i am just wundering when i can put them together and also when can i breed the jill thanks ( happy ferreting cant wait for the season )

Ow my god mate same situation and exact same ferrets i mean the young albino gill was a bit of a pain for the first day or 2 now shes sound dont mind being picked up she will put her mouth round ur finger but will not bite but the young hob is pure evil same ages complete diffrent ferret i got more holes in my hand then a siv no joke and to top it off he is getting harder but if u handel them every day they get better and better and eventually stop all the best mate .

Hi mate iv got a 3month old lurcher pup the missis didnt mind then all the suddon she started fookin moanin the twat i just ignor her she moans all the time but at the end of the day there get ova it eventually just tell her ur get rid of it next week to shut her up for a week lol thats what i do keep the dog mate a dogs for life and it gets u dinner whoop whoop
  16. onley seen sparrow & odd buzzard why dont they eat all the bird when i have found hawked pigon they been pulled to bits sparrow then mate they brake the neck with there beck but it will only eat it if it fills safe and they will eat the brest or head not all of it but a buzz will but it will not kill it as itis to quick Hes right mate sparrow hawk if its plucking the head off and leaving the rest last season my uncle had a load of pheasant poults killed off by the basterds theres only one way to sort them mate

Hi my uncles a gamekeeper and just the other week the other gamekeeper who was helping him out decided to pack it in he is getting on now and there is to much work to do for one person so im helping him i never thought about wages because he has told me that when the seasons starts again i can do some ferreting and lamping etc so even if he does turn round and say heres £50 or heres £100 ether way im happy because i dont mind helping to do some ferreting
