Hi all iv got a lurcher 12mth and from the day i had him i had my ferret round him anyway for this season i got myself a young hob and a young jill ther both ok with him but hes just a bit fast and the dog allways goes for them pawrin them and tryna bite them iv told him off but he just gets exited when they bounce around and i dont whant him hurting them like i said hes fine with my older hon so what shall i do . BIGASH .

Hi all just to update you all i whent out lastnight me and my mate to a good bit of land we have got permission to do everything on. Anyway we went out about 8oclock nice windy night a tiny sprinkle of rain but it was all good so i got the dog in the back of the van wellies on jacket etc lamp charged all 3 of us good to go. We got there for about 8.30 to be disapointed with a very bad low fog (GUTTED) i didnt no what to do we just drove half hour to get here and we where all ready to be onist i got my hair off lol anyway we dicided to just have a look for ten minutes because it was the

The mark 3 is a good bit of kit mate takes awile getting to grips with it but its spoton when u no how to use it just like the other chap said good but the noise is headdoing i got mine last year from ianhodgefieldsports.co.uk £160 with 1 collar its gone up a tenna lol but its worth investing in mate hope that was some help to you. . Hi guy's im back up nice and early thanks to my son hahaha love him to bits just to fill u in i went out about 9ish last night went to a little bit of land with a good healthy number of rabbits. Just to let u no it all went well as we got there we shined the lamp on one of the fields and saw there wer alot of bunnies out so i was buzzin ben my lurcher pup was happy to be out to it had taken about an hour or 2 for him to start getting to grips with the lamp and what was at the other end of the beam he had a few runs didnt catch but very close he stalked one rabbit and was inches away fro

Thank u guys for all the advice it means the world to me because u lot all know what ur talkin about so ur advice is great my uncle has bein doing it for years so like you said he will put it right the dog has been out with me ferreting and he has had a rabbit and sort of dashed toward a rabbit that has slipped the net like i said thanks for everything it has all been taken in and i hope it goes ok tonight

Your dog has never ran a rabbit in daylight and your gonna teach it on the lamp??? Why not? Rabbits will feed further out under the cover of darkness and be much easier than a daytime rabbit!!! Good luck tonight fella........... Yeah, I agree the rabbits will be further out and all that but.... this dog has never been introduced into hunting, the guy doesn't know how it will react after its chased its first rabbit. Loads of problems can arise and I'd prefer it was daylight myself.... The dog hasn't run flat out before like it will when behind a quarry it wants to catch so
