Well was a later than usual ferreting day got there 10. 30 set up the first warren and let the dog out the van : ) , should of took him for s good walk but was ruining late . He tore around the warren like a loon 3 out and one bottled it bolted once the spade went in and where the dog had been flying round hed knocked the longnet yep you guessed it the rabbit went that way , not to worry catch up with him later : ). The dog then marked the next warren one out of there I set the long net right out for this one hoping to let the dog have a chase the blimin rabbit never even got out of the hole t

Used to back net all the time before I had long nets , and probably still would just got lazy with the long nets : ) works a treat if you cant get to all the holes net the warrens iether side at the same time , and on hedges you can't get into, the old back netter, made up half the bag Some days , -

Yes 6 ferrets two long nets 100yrd each , purse nets , lunch and flask and elevenses and afternoon snack : ) spade , and all the rabbits on the way back ,

Of course not practical for all days but sometimes if your hitting big warrens a good trek from the car, long nets purse nets box lunch flask , a little mooch is a little mooch light and nice, a grand day out is a grand day out , besides if I bought quad I would soon be looking for alternative acomadtion ; )

Been thinking about this of late ,???? There's one for fishing but not suitable fir ferreting It would need to be practical , good tyres , I mean lugging all the gear across fields can be a chore, any ideas input or any budding inventors or welders on the site ??????

Well they were thin on the ground Friday : ( still managed a hard caught ten and the stinkers got a run not many of this years rabbits caught infact I think just the one really , got some massive bucks , an enjoyable day all the same bar someone not having there phone on silent gets my goat that does lol , and no pics guys I just can't do it I thought I would let the others crack on and I would stand about taking snaps cldnt do it ha ha I have to get stuck in, anyhow one out of the first little warren thought there might be more but hey a rabbits a rabbit . I wondered that, its got to be possible Well believe it or not,,, but you can get an app, that is a metal detector,,, just ask vin on here he downloaded one the other week Thats got to be worth a go The App is free on android..but its no good for a ferret finder..its ok for detecting magnetic fields and maybe electric cables etc etc ..but it dont work at any depth more than a few inches. Thats a shame, would have saved a lot of people a lot of money, me included. It makes you wonder with everything that can be done with a phone now would it be possible to develop a powerful e
