SNOOPDOG AND ROBERTO M PUPS I KEPT
snoopdog replied to black recking it's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
you seem well informed daz.which have done the rounds.????????? theres Fuji,s we know he had to make a hard decision after all the time he put in. nobody would get rid of a dog unless it absolutely necessary . blackrecking it kept two back and kept the one he preffered and sold the other. there was one for sale on here as well because the lad has split up with his missus.thats three out of a litter of ten ..and to me all have got rid or where getting rid for a very good reason..unless you know something I don't daz i would be gratefull if you could enlighten me .you see theres enough crabbber -
so is alan having that pup ....................?
-
i would have bet money on alan picking that for the pick off litter ..he loves 4 white socks and white on the chest . i wonder why .. lets hope you lads get a good un or two out of the litter . .

hes looking real good andy . and iam glad hes doing well for you mate .built like his old man (razor) . not saying big dogs run better then the lighter framed dogs but i do personally like good strength in a animal.a big dog is harder to get fit and it gets harder every year they get older in my opinion.the lighter framed animals seem a little easier to get fit.but that dosent sway me because a good part of owning a running dog is getting them fit.i also think once you get a bigger framed animal fit they are a little easier to keep em there . my own personal opinion again .all in all -
lolol...all cracking looking dogs mate ..the very best of luck with them...
-
i like the doberman capt..looks strong for a young un..shame its illegal to dock tails though..
-

a bit off topic i know. but whats the ground like down the road..lincs area...
-
they wiil and they do take leverts out of there forms..also the red kite is getting more common starting to see a fair few around lincs they will take the odd hare .if injured or weak.or young . infact about 3 weeks ago a red kite joined on with my dog whilst is was chasing a shot and wounded hare .it was a sight to behold I can the you ..it did veer off the chase but was very keen for a few seconds,

well everybody seems to be saying the same thing. they are (THERE) just not through the day. which in its self is good news ..im putting it down to the weather (mild) still plenty off food in the cover. and machinery on the land.
-
bosun you could be right ..if they are getting disturbed frequently they might just stay in the woods ..another theory is. there is still plenty to eat in the dyke sides hedgerows woods ect ect why come out on to open land if there is? its been very mild for the time of year and we haven't had any hard frost so like I say still plenty to eat..mmmmm we will see what happens we are due some cold weather lets see if things change...
-
Not sure why they have been so elusive benny.but we are having to work alot harder this year then I have ever done On these certain pieces of land.they are there. The keeper's are seeing them when they are out doing there Pest control at night. But for some reason they aren't playing out in the daytime at this time of year like they normally are They certainly keep you on you're toes no wonder some folk call them .mystical.
-
my keeper so 42 in one field on the lamp.i walked it two days later and got one retrieve. They are there.but where is the question.
-
yes ive done my fair share on the lamp.but have always preferred day time on whatever ever quarry.Hare deer the odd fox and bunnies too.when it was legal off course. But used to do quite alot of lamping You can't beat early mornings tho on the right quarry. Night Time is for sleeping. Lol
-
Its hard enough getting the mutts. Right for the season for there retrieving work. Never mind these mystical fookers Playing hard to find.its hard enough to retrieve the dam things as it is without them playing hide and fooking seek. Lol Its a tough old game to be in at times.might go back to the dark side. Lolol

it did start raining as I was leavingBut with the wind I thought it would blow over.yes there starting to lift all the beet now. I think or should I say I hope its because its been so mild so still plenty for them to eat in the woods hedgerows Ect ect. And like you say they are still fairly active with the machinery on the land.but to be honest I haven't seen That many levies this year either. A few but not as many as I thought I would saying the good summer we have had.
-
ive been down Today. Windy as feck.now we all know when its windy they love the plough.but where I was today. It was either weathered stubble or seed with a little bit of leafy too.it was drying out very fast to. Infact if it don't rain It will be bone hard mate.on the way home it took well over 4hours normally takes two.wagons overturned on the a1 And they made the rest park up and just let the cars through. Fooking carnage. I so a few today but no where near the amount I normally see .been the same most of this season Im wondering if it is because it's been so mild.feck knows but the

The elusive Hare. really struggling to see any which is very hard to believe on my permission As a few lads can verify. Now im not going without dont get me wrong. Lol I thought this summer would have been a real good breeding year. How is all you other hare spotters getting on? I think everybody struggles september .October. because of the land being worked. Ect ect. But as a norm by late November December im seeing plenty.
