Soulman youve hit the nail right on the head…… Ive seen lots of dogs, in lots of rings and in lots of different countries. Plenty were workers and others were not. Some were as handsome as anything youd ever wish to see and others as ugly as snot. Some wanted to be there and others definitely not. But the one thing they all have in common is that I never once saw or heard a single one of them complain about the judges decision. Yet, unless Ive got it badly wrong, theyre supposed to be the important ones in all this…. maybe we could all learn a little something from them . J.M.H

Heythrop Hunt terrier and lurcher show
monkeychops replied to jessdale's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
CRACKING SHOW, WELL DONE GARY. -
Listen to buster dog, he knows the line well.
-
Leghorns are good layers, brown. Mine are still laying now, down in numbers but still getting eggs.
-
he's not the only person selling dogs for large amount of money that have never seen work, lot of so called terriermen, living on names from years ago, look at the midland champion, ask stupied prices for dogs nowdays. proper working terriers are a rare thing these days, should be put on the endangered list. people nowdays talk so much shit and breed from shit, and people listern to them, because they win a show and then buy pups, they breed and the cycle go's on.
-
least the judge picked 1 terrier who's been worked!! and the only lurchers likely to see any work were in the bull cross class, which the bull cross bitch deserved to win the class, true worker.

over the years i have supported lurcher world but cant understand why most judges are so inexperananced about lurchers who judge for them, a lot of people travell a long way only to be judged by the same folk since i am not into the showing side its never bothered me but if i showed my dogs on a serious note i would be pissed of,mark Don't ya think that the Lurcher people take things a bit too seriously, afterall Lurchers are mongrels not pedigrees !!! (OK they are bred for a purpose but still not pedigree). It used to be fun to show a lurcher, a place to meet people, talk B****cks

Which bit terriers or lurchers ?
-

WELL SAID BECK. NO NEED FOR COMMENTS LIKE THAT.
-
WHO'S JUDGING? HAVE YOU GOT A BULL X JUDGE FOR THE BULL X CLASS. NO GOOD HAVING A NORMAL LURCHER JUDGE DOING THESE CLASSES. NORMALLY NOT WORKING THE STUFF THAT BULL X WORKERS DO.!
-
I AGREE THAT I THOUGHT THE BULLX CHAMPIONSHIP WAS EXCELLANT, GOOD WORKING DOGS, GOOD WORKING JUDGE. OUTSTANDING WORKING FINAL LINE UP, 2 WORKING WINNERS. NO MORE SAID.!!!!!!
-
No problem, where abouts is he from? Ive heard that name before, judges terriers? He was a good judge, told my mate who was in the championship that his do was a bit young, which was correct, the dog is only 13mths old, you never hear comments like that from judges, they just chuck you out of the ring. Good on him i thought, a man who knows the stuff. Good choice who picked him to judge. Judges like that make the show what it is. A show for working dogs / people.
-
Not to funny, tony didnt judge the bull x championship, sorry i dont know the lad who did, but he picked 2 fine working creatures. You should find out who it was, rare to see a true working judge, this was decussed alot yesterday as he wasnt scared to pick a well worked bull x. Good show.
-
hope the bull x judge likes worked dogs, looking forward to the final, dogs have lot of work on them, soon see if he / she works lurchers. ha.
-
Does anybody know who the bull x judge is? I hope the judge works bullx's and not just a lurcher judge.
-
Anybody going to the Earth dog Runnning dog finals? In Augest.

Fell & Moorland working Terrier Club SW area
monkeychops replied to Shamo's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. THE CLUB WILL NOT HELP YOU IF YOU NEED ADVICE ON COURT MATTERS, NOR WILL THEY HELP ON RESCUES ANYMORE. IF YOU ARE SUMMONED TO A COURT HEARING REGARDING DIGGING OFFENCES, THE CLUB ASK YOU TO RESIGN, BEFORE A SENTENCE HAS BEEN PAST. FACT. -
not a bad little show, good price to get in.

terrier judge for the caerphilly show

good comment -
yes there is a club for Staffs / Cheshire, we were part of the FMWTC, the reason being, that the FMWTC wont help the area rep with a court battle with the RSPCA. We all signed aletter to the FMWTC, asking why no support was given, the reply was very interesting.. The FMWTC are only a rescue service! not a club for the digging man... court cases like this give bad publicity..... and thats why everybody who joins the FMWTC are not told this because nobody would join!!!! The President at the time, Mark Jarvis resigned over this as did Albert Beaumont and quite afew others. I also believe the Nort
