    You should be having words with your mate then cos that's bordering on the grounds of animal cruelty, ferrets like to eat little and often due to their short digestive tract, so 2 days for a ferret might be the equivalent of us going without food for 4 days and I know that if I hadn't had anything to eat for that period of time I wouldn't be willing to work too hard. well said

    yea enter just one at a time ,and give them enough time to work ,also feed them up just before you go so they dont turn everything they see into food

    i think some people dig to soon ,i myself had only two in the whole of last season i prefer to wait it out ,some rabbits will pooch in and can take a while to turn best to let them get on with it , ive been out in the past with people that dig if there not up in half hour i allways say you never know how big the bury is ,but then i dont use locators just bell and calls allways worked for me

    im a keen ferreter and would like to do some bolting for your birds its proably the only sport ive never had a go at and would love to give it a go i have all the gear and loads of ferrets im in the bristol area but will travel , ihave posted before but to know avail ,anyway if you need a hand let me know

    a bit off topic but on sunday i spotted a rabbit about 3ft up a tree eating the bark,has any one seen this before? no but do some times see were the bark is missing on trees with burys round them

    try getting some larger nets or if the entrances are that big you could try a gate net layed over ,it has worked for me in the past but not really what its for ,ive have had these problems on some of my permissions before sometimes after you have ferreted a bury with a large opening inside the field but most in the bank or hedge ,i have back filled the hole to the level of the ground surface and when i have returned they have dug it back out with just a rabbit sized hole if that makes sense you could try that also but they may well just trample it again
