Only when people start to vote will the politicians start to listen. The best thing everyone can do is vote for a party that wants to stop imigration or at least slow it down. UKIP is one and obviously the BNP. Even if the BNP are a bit suspect they can't be as bad as the Labour party who've sold out this country and dragged us in to wars that are none of our business. If they want people to stop voting for the fringe parties they'll have to start listening to what the majority of this country wants. Next election will be very interesting as UKIP are fighting the Tories who should be natural a

Rifles - calibre = Confused
Nik_B replied to jusar whippets's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I think alot of people have said that the licencing department won't allow rimfire to be used on a fox so you'd need a heavier calibre for that and the deer. -
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/video/2009/nov/11/glasgow-north-east-byelection Go to 2:40 on this video and it says it all. This was a video made just before the Glasgow east election. The Gardian reporter interviews 3 local lads and find that they aren't going to bother voting because they feel the politicians don't care about them, then he interviews a somali who says something to the tune of "I'm going to vote for Lib dem because of all the things she did for me/us. helped financially, clothed and taken out". So in a nutshell the children of the tax pay get bugger all and

Hi Mate this is what I was thinking, as long as the politicians don't wack us with a massive stick then a simple form stating serial number, type and calibre and anything else important should be enough for the police to know what is where. Then if the chavs get caught with an unregistered air gun they can get the book thrown at them even if they didn't do anything bad with it. I think this is definately the way forward as I don't want to see the heavy handed response like what happened with pistols. The number of incidents with airguns are very high but obviously not attributed to normal peop

Scum out! and take kiz with em, fooking sell out c**t Dont rise to it mate kiz no doubt lives in a peacefull idylic rural village some were out in the sticks and has no conception of the real world .How the ordinary British working class man is becomeing a third class citizen in the country of his birth.atb dell Here here Poacher Think maybe the reason a lot of folk have a chip on their shoulder is because they still think of themselves as a lower "class" of person, ie "working class man". I know you're enjoying yourself but can you not just for a minute understand why into

I also have re-taken up fly fishing. Been down to Marton Heath a few times and caught 3 rainbows on my first time, had a great time, I'm just concentrating on my technique which has got very very sloppy (havent fished for 16 years). Off to Westlow soon.

Cheers ricky will update when we've made our desision. Sed - That is exactly what I've read about getting them used to you not being there. Did you have to reward it for not barking? My job is disruptive on my family as it would be on a dog, for 4 weeks I'd be at home with lots of time to spend with a dog but then 4 weeks would be with wife and kids who are out a fair bit. I was also thinking about wether two dogs would be better? Do they keep each other company? cheers

Exactly,my thought too.. ban NO! Register Air eapons YES Well I was talking about this today, the kind of offenses that are attributed to airguns are little sh1ts shooting people with them and as there have been a few high profile injuries this has led to the typical knee jerk reaction "ban everything"!! As per usual the responsible users are penalised and the criminals won't care and carry one as normal. So would maybe an airgun register be something that could be useful? If you were caught with an unregistered air weapon you'd be in serious trouble. The police would then be ab

When they say ban do they mean regulate or licence? Or are they actually going to completely ban owning an air rifle? I can't imagine they'll stop people owning them entirely.
-
Yeh they are some of the worse however the government should be obliged to sort them out and not hand over all our tax money to things that don't help our own country. They have been allowed to be parasites and not encouraged to work. Their kids then get to grow up and not see mum and dad do any work so follow them. Excessive liberalism in my opinion, sometimes you've got to be cruel to be kind.

I dont play games very often but I have a PS3 which we use mostly as a media center. I have set it up so we can watch all the films that are on my desktop PC and listen to the music on it also. Plus we can watch BBC Iplayer.

My missus bought one from Tesco for £10 and we've been using it all the time bargain!! -
Read this thread and the answer is obvious. The most ignorant arrogant stupid bunch of snivelling self-righteous scum in the world are the English. Ric Now queue up chaps. One at a time. . . He he I think we English are pretty tolerant, I mean who else would allow reverse colonisation on such a vast scale to happen to their own country?

You should here some of my stories then. I've worked in Algeria for 4 years and the middle east for 2. Their toilet habits are minging I have to say, even when they share a two man cabin they would still come in and stand on the toilets in their work boots. The water bottles are used (I believe...and in 6 years it's still a bit of a mystery) to pour water down their crack after a dump and they use their left hand to fan water over their arse hole....because toilet paper is obviously disgusting isn't it? So when you go to use the loo you'd have to wipe dry the toilet seat before you could sit d

Thanks alot for all of the replies! There's been some great advice. The last point has put my mind at ease as there are some pretty odd opinions out on the net and I would like to give a dog a good quality life. I think the idea of having a kennel is soemthing I would definately do, it would allow the dog to keep itself occupied during the day and yes I don't want my house destroyed nor allow bad habits to set in such as sleeping in bedrooms etc. My next step is to seriously test out the wife and teenager who are both a bit lazy, they could do with a good walk every day rather than watchi

This is what really appeals to me. I have to put alot more thought in to this though, my wife does work so I want to make sure we would be able to make sure the dog felt secure and got enough attention. As the wife is a teacher she does get a fair few holidays, but she'll need to be able to walk a dog in the morning and either her or my eldest daughter could walk it in the afternoon. The best time to get a dog for us would be in the summer when my wife could be off for a good few weeks to start getting the dog used to be alone in the day and build up to longer periods of time. On the

Thanks for all the replies! Firstly your first comment is a concern that my family will have the time and inclination to keep the training up. Without being sure of their commitment I won't go ahead. One reason for a dog is to try to get them outside more for their own benefit. Your second point is exactly the kind of dog I would like, one that is good round kids, a family member but when I am home one that could come with me fishing and shooting so well behaved and disciplined. As I have not started sport shooting yet I am just planning ahead but the kind of shooting that appeals

I've never had a dog before and I have a few questions. One day I would like to shoot with a dog, I also would like a dog for companionship/long walks and also as a family pet. Unfortunately my job makes anything I do very difficult because I work away overseas for 4-5 weeks at a time. When I am off I have plenty of time to walk and train a dog but when I am away my wife and kids would have to walk it. Can dogs pick up where you left off with respect to training/retrieving? Can a family pet also be a reasonable gun dog or does the training have to be intense and very regular?

To be cruel surely the rat would need to be able to experience pain for more than the split second it took to die.

hello pal do you do any feild sport Cheers for the replies. If that was aimed at me then appart from fishing the answer is no as of yet. I love the countryside in general and was looking for sports and activities that will get me out for the day. Obviously I have to start somewhere and it seems bloody hard to get in to field sports so I thought the best place to start will be joining a rifle club and do some clay shooting as well with the aim to meet like minded people. I enjoy target shooting anyway but it's not as nice an environment as being outside. My ideal field sport would pr

Thought I'd better introduce myself before I continue to post. I'm 38, live in Stockport and work in the oil industry. As a boy I used to love fishing with my dad and before he gave his guns up I remember going out with him shooting clays. Slowly I stopped going fishing and with work comitments the years have passed by, each one I fully intended to get back in to it. I then ended up with a shoulder problem which required an op so there was my excuse for nearly for years. Having vitually recovered from the op I have been able to go fly fishing again for the first time in years and with my d
