went out after work for a short hunt she found a set she liked under an old tree it was a shallow dig only about a foot dug down and pulled her of the hog and let it go for another day

i hunt my dogs on coon all the time 2 dogs in the ground is bad all way round the dogs will hurt each other now barns and brush piles are a diffrent story but i still dont like it and it makes people think they have better dog than they do

well glad you got the dog out and that in one hell of a dig but unless your 10 ft tall that is not a 30 ft hole more like 12 to 15 jmo

like i said if you dont see it you dont know if its dead or your dog quite period saying it came out so it must of killed it is just making excuses to keep trash dogs its called digging now what till it comes out there is another thread on here about low standerds and if you think a dog won't stay then you shoud cull all yours and start over how can anyone breed to a quitter and say it is a good breeding they are DIGGING DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

she is a booth nuttall cross and you are right the dog look death in the face every time they go to ground for us and we own it to them to get there and DIG to the end

i would never leave a dog i have had dogs in bad spot where i had to bring in help to get them and we always do and i know a day may come when i cant get to them it happens i know i couple of guys that lost dogs this year because they got in to undigable spots but i also can tell you this the dogs i have here will die in the ground before they would come out and i woudn.t have it any other way 1 i dug twice and she needed cpr and another time she was going in to shock and could hardly move from fighting so hard for so lond she has killed game in the ground and stays till i get there and if t

If you dont dig down and see than you never know we can all make excuses when they quite and say the kill it or did they just quite i would never keep a dog that did not stay till dug no exeptions

i have a dog that is a little big for earth work i have dug it on a couple of times and the dog was about dead ran out of air earth dogs are small for a reason -
i have a bitch i would put on anything worked her this weekend she was near death when we got to her cant ask for more and if you study genealogy 60% of what you get comes from the bitch i would never breed to a sub par bitch
