    The .17HMR "Hornady Magnum Rimfire" is the .22 magnum or WMR "Winchester Magnum Rimfire" knecked down, the "H" on the bottom, could be for Hornady, the .17 HMR was developed by the Hornady Ammunition Company USA in 2002.
